Greens are a challange Loved the course Had a great time
Played the Eagle course The greens were a challange very fun to play The staff was great Very windy made for some interesting shots
Too Many Elevated Greens
The course is straightforward except that all holes have seriously elevated greens along with severe undulations. If you come up short of the green, you'll be tempted to flop the next one. Greens were quick and rolled well. We enjoyed our day but probably won't play Eagle again as the design of the greens is too punishing. Even a well-struck chip can hit the green and roll off the other side.
I'd never play again
I'm an 8 and found the course very difficult and at times unfair beginning with the tricked up first hole that has a tree in the middle of the landing area. Why would someone do that. The greens were unnecessarily undulating to the point it felt like one should be putting into a clowns mouth. All the greens are elevated and shaped like a turtles back so even the best of shots are not rewarded and are often foolishly punished. Most every fairway is crowned and sloped into the hazards on both sides meaning shots hit on the fairway often end up in trouble. If this community is ever going to sell out they need to "soften" this course immediately. I'm told that the Talon course on the same property is much more reasonable to play...I'll never know.
Eagle coursse is a players course that any mid handicaper would enjoy.
This is a course that is a must play for the area. Generous fairway landing areas and mowed to perfection.
Approaches to greens receptive with fringe of greens usually puttable. Greens are smooth and fast though significantly contoured necessitating accurate green reading and confident putting strokes. GPS on carts a big plus. Clearly one of the best courses for the money in the area even during the snowbird season. Looking forward to playing it again
Nice variety of holes
Challenging course with good greens. An occsassional green may be a little too severe because of the long length of the hole .
Overall a good rating and would play again now that I am more familiar with the course.
Twin Eagles (Eagle) ... major disappointment!
Having played the Talon course at Twin Eagles numerous times (and thoroughly enjoyed it every time) I thought the Eagle course would provide the same kind of experience - I was wrong - as the Eagle course and its surrounding environment were far less than what I had expected - a major disappointment.
Another example of a facility who built two courses, where one completely overshadows the other, and isn't worth the price to play it.
Eagle is tricked-up with crowned greens and run-offs on the sides of all its greens. Its' setting is in an under developed, wide open, rough shrubs & trees, backwoods environment.
Stay on Talon and forget playing Eagle!
They are so kind and righteous to provide golfers with the opportunity to play and have lunch...all outstanding.
They are so kind and righteous to provide golfers with the opportunity to play and have lunch...all outstanding. The lunch after the round just topped off the fact that we played a course a week after the senior's ACE Classic event!!
The course is not female friendly. Every hope was very similar. Water on left sand on right sand Ll around greens
This is not a 50 dollar or more course. It is not gmail friendly. Very difficult.
very nice place
Very nice course, played it at 6500 yds, good challenge. Great value for this time of year. Looking forward to playing the talon on Sunday.
The greens made The Eagle course challenging for a moderate skilled golfer.
The elevated and undulating greens made this course very challenging.
Not as nice as Talon
Nice golf course but if you have a choice play Twin Eagles Talon course.
A housing tract with a marginal golf course
No memorable holes on this course...water left, houses right, water right, houses left. Course and range were in good shape. They have fast large greens.
Biggest issue was the 5+ hour round. The ranger insisted that we were "right on time". There were often two groups waiting on the par threes. Looking at the tee sheet it is clear they don't leave enough time between groups.
Outstandig course. great layout.
Excellent value Can't wait to play here again. Greens are very challenging. Lots of water and sand.
Course was not worth rack rate
First 9 was around a building site with much noise from the building work. Back 9 was better but nothing exceptional. We paid $87 per person but Spanish Wells & Lely were much better value for similar price. Would not rush back.
great variety
The course was in great shape and using Golfnow was a tremendous value. We played both courses and enjoyed lunch and golf both days. I hope the course remains available for future visits. Don't forget your favorite sand wedge!
This course has great features
Large landing areas from tees, lots of bunkers, large greens , fast and undulated.Overall a great course.
challenging course-greens elavated
Lots of challenge to avoid sand bunkers at the right distance when you drive .
Great course!
Twin Eagles has two courses, and the talon is by far my favorite of the two!
Water is not much of an issue on this course, but sand is definitely a possibility (typical of a Nickalaus design).
Carts have GPS, which is very nice.
During the golf season here, they split the range up into a members only side and a non members side. I was told they were out of range balls on the non member side. I was also told I could not hit balls from the members side even though it had only 1 other golfer on it. I made my way to the far side of the range anyway and was fortunate to share some balls with another golfer. The situation did stigmatize me somewhat.
Overall its a beautiful course that hosts a senior tour tournament as is definitely worth playing!!
wonderful course with challenging greens
loved the course, but i had difficulty getting the speed of greens
right and lead to a high score and frustration. i will come back and try again.
