About
There are three nines at the Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club, which can be played individually, consecutively, or as three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine has a unique layout with different challenges but all share the same lush landscape covered with stately trees and water features. The Panther/Bobcat combination offers a mix of narrow and wide fairways, some of which are lined with trees. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greensides and there are also water hazards coming into play on a number of holes. Located just northwest of Tampa along the west Florida coast, the nines represent the best of Florida golf. Silver Dollar also boasts some of the area's most affordable rates, which makes the versatile layouts doubly appealing.

Conditions
Course was in “good” condition overall. Some areas very wet, to muddy. Other areas dry & sandy .
Greens were fast and in relatively good condition
Great course, slow play today
This is a great course however pace of play was super slow today. We were behind a foursome of young men that were very slow, sharing clubs. Talking a lot.
That is not common on this course though. We normally have a great experience.
Silver Dollar Panther-Gator
Course was in pretty rough shape. Fairways had many bare spots and little grass. Greens were a bit bumpy and slow. Lack of rain in the area has not helped this course. I like it though as it is plenty long and requires good shot making. Just needs to get back in shape as it usually is much better. I've played here many times and it normally is in better shape.
Nice Day Inspite of Golf
Panther was dry, fairways a bit rough, greens ok. Gator wa in much better shape, both fairways and greens good. We played Panther for the front, Gator for the back. In spite of the better conditions on Gator, my game was worse!
It was ok.
Fairways were full of weeds and bare spots but it looks like they are trying to take care of them.
have played here many times before. the course was in good shape. will play again if the rates ever go down.
Terrible
You get what you pay for. Horrible course if your a decent golfer. Bad everything
Horrible
1st 2 holes they had to spots cut real low and they placed a flag and cup, needless to say unputtable. Every green for the most part were diseased. If they had sanded the greens it would have helped the ball roll instead of jumping to the hole. Yardage markers if you were lucky to find ones were guess work on distance to the green. Over all just pusspoor condition.

Worst I play.
Last year this time was OK. Now this course should be close . Is not fair paying over $30 . Do not play there. You be sorry
Poorly Managed Course, Not Well Maintained
I want to like this course because the layout has potential, but so frequently it is poorly maintained. Not just one area, but the entire course. The pro shop staff are never friendly and quite unwelcoming(all other staff are polite). This past weekend was it for me. Tee boxes were under maintenance amd they had you hitting out of the rough. A 12 year old with a push mower could have at least helped a bit. Fairways are basically first cut. Greens were like mowed down weeds and surprisingly mushy despite having no rain. Really disappointed.
