The North Course is just one of three 18-hole championship courses offered by Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth. The club, part of a gated golf community, also offers the South and the West. Built in the 1970s, the golf courses have classic designs that were the result of a collaboration between Robert Von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. At 6,876 yards the North Course is the longest of the three courses. It does not have as many water holes as the other two golf courses but that is not to say that water is not a prominent feature on the course because it still comes into play frequently. There are also several strategically placed bunkers throughout. The golf course is mostly flat but there are some mild undulations. In addition to the three courses, Fountains C.C. offers extensive practice facilities including putting greens, pitching areas, bunkers, and a driving range.

Had heard the Fountains was very nice, and this time we heard right. The course was in very good condition and the design was both challenging and fair. Water was in play but not overly invasive to higher handicappers. I would recommend the course and look forward to playing it again.
