Pay for Range Balls now, Surprise
Big change... range balls are no longer included in your tee fee. I had to pay 12 bucks and change for balls. Looks like Bay Point golf courses are the last remaining courses that include range balls with your green fee in Panama City/PCB area.
Great layout and really fun
Enjoyed the course, the layout and had an enjoyable time with my buddies. Would love to play it again soon.
Good Day
Friendly staff, great value, casual and enjoyable, go work on your short game! Oh, shout out to the course marshal, I thank you, job well done.
breey day at hombre
Very cold (58) and breezy. Pace was extremely slow. Took 5 hours to play. This was the beginning of spring break in Panama city. tees and fairways were in good condition and green were in good condition for this time of year . A lot of transition this time of year. The areas just of the greens were shaved or cut extremely low. Lost a few balls that landed on the green but either did not hold or were down wind causing water balls.
Poor customer service
Was treated like second class customer because of booking with GolfNow by manager Robby Willis.
Awesomw
Love this place. Great layout, tough but really fun. We played several times this winter and look forward to doing the same next winter.
Thank you!
Great course!
Played shortly after a rain storm but the course was not to wet. Everything was beautiful. Tees, fairways and greens. I had my second eagle during this round so that made everything better. Seriously, the course was in good shape. The greens are firm but they held shots real well. No complaints. I will play this course again when back in Panama City.
Hombre - Where The Professionals Play
The clubhouse was immaculate with a spectacular view of the course. All staff were friendly and the Starter debriefed us on what to expect. The fairways and greens were well maintained. The fairways were forgiving but many holes had water that you had to drive over or avoid as it surrounded some greens. A very nice course for intermittent and advanced skill levels.
Best in the area
The course is in excellent condition for this time of year. Best condition of the other local courses I have played.
As snowbird residents we like this course once per year.
About average for the courses in the area. Maybe a notch below a few other courses we play. The guy at the counter was pretty unsociable. Wasn’t very friendly. The “Ugly” back nine has some very challenging greens. Overall we enjoyed our round. The day was hot so thankfully the refreshment cart made plenty of stops which was appreciated. The refreshment cart attendants were very personable and friendly.
A five hour round
No golf carts available til tee time. Then delayed my start time 1/2 hour more. Was a 5 hour round RIDICULOUS. The folks I was paired up were equally upset.....dark on last hole!!
Tee Time Preference Given to Skins Players
We had a tee time made 6 days in advance and told by check-in people that Golf Now gave us wrong tee time and our new time was 24 minutes later. Another course person said Golf Now failed to tell Hombre that tee times had been sold. Another course person said Golf Now reported the tee time after Skins Tourney was set up. Truth was that more people showed up for weekly Skins outing and Hombre accommodated all of them in favor of other bookings. The Skins players were very slow and deliberate and our round took a little over 5 hours and we finished in twilight just before darkness. Having to wait for every 1st and 2nd shot totally destroyed what should have been a pleasant outing. We do not plan to include Hombre in our plans for our final month in PCB.
changed teatime
our group had a 1056 tee time it ws moved at the club house o 1108 and he pace of play was extremely slow. If we went off at the required time we would have preceded the slow group that was put in front of us. Very poor planning.
Hombre: Just Steps Away!
I enjoy Hombre because of the water challenges and the fact that it is a five-minute drive away. Unfortunately many others enjoy it on a Friday morning so play was predictably slow
Poor course management
This was the worst experience I have ever with course management. Although a public course members rule and can bump tee times. There were 4, yes 4, “5 domed” in front of us, a twosome. Although the price was good stay away on Friday’s, Saturday’s & Sunday’s when these member 5 somes play, and they each played 2 balls off the first tee.
Very good course especially for the value.
This course was well maintained and offered a challenging layout. $40 with cart was a great value.
