Good value
Challenging course with water and trees in play on most holes..
Interesting layout with good greens .Fairways in dormant condition.
Fast greens
The overall Course was in good shape for the time of year (January). Greens were fast and true.
A "must play" Golf Course
Hombre's reputation for a quality golf experience is true. The staff is welcoming from the very start, friendly pro shop team, and the food service was tremendous!
The greens were rolling true and they were FAST. Down hill putts had to be handle with caution, but the ball went exactly were you hit. Hombre is such a fun course to play....lots of water holes and shot shaping. I cant wait to play it again. I would highly recommend it to all my golfing buddies!
Great
the course is in great condition; great value on the Hot Deal; will definitely go back
Hombre was Great
My friends and I played Hombre before when it was the good, the bad, and the ugly. We were pleasantly surprised at the condition and the price. I love the fact that it's five minutes from my condo. We'll play often this winter!
Bad and ugly. But enough about My swing
The day was beautiful and the course wasn’t crowded. I had a 12:24 tee time, but when I arrived 30 min early, the pro shop told me there was no starter and the course was wide open.
The fairways were full and green and the greens were in great shape. I was able to play the first 14 holes before I caught up to a twosome playing two shots from each position.
Being my first round finding water where unexpected was easy. The yardage markers were hard,if not impossible to find.
I like other courses in the area better, but when you can play a round in 2 1/2 hrs, in the fall/winter, it was well worth it.
One great Hombre!
The Good side is no more. The Ugly and the Bad are in great shape. Greens roll true! Bring your A game because this course is challenging from the blue markers, but it is fun. Bunkers in great condition and strategically placed. A couple of par 3s are all carry choose your club wisely. No beverage cart when we played.
Nice course.
First time playing Hombre and I didn't play well. The course is very nice but tight in some areas. You have to be able to put the ball in the fairway and stay out of the water and sand! The Greens were in good shape, they were hard and fast. Traps were well maintained and the sand fluffy. Fairways were nice overall. The grass in some tee boxes was thining out due to shady areas. Carts were new but cart paths rough in some areas. I would recommend playing the course.
Barbara & Bruce Hombre
The course was in excellent shape. Fairways and greens were excellent. The staff member at the pro shop was very friendly and helpful. Club house look as it just had a complete makeover. This was the first time my wife and I have played this course; we are traveling in our motorhome around the country. Two negative comments: the driving range balls were unlimited but at $25.00 and I had to pay 50 cents for a glass of ice to take on to the course. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to play golf if you are in the Panama City Beach area.
Great track but choose your tee box carefully!
I've played this course around six times and it never disappoints! Because of the level of difficulty, I would encourage first timers to move one box up to preserve the fun factor. The conditions of the course were nothing short of immaculate with the greens rolling very fast. If you've not played the Hombre, don't hesitate to book your round soon! The cheeseburger at the grill is amazing; Patty uses worchestershire sauce and the view is great from the clubhouse!
great course
make sure you play this course when you go to panama city beach.
Bad & Ugly
It was BAD timing to play this course because we didn't know they were doing their fall work on the greens and many were covered with sand, therefore it made the putting kind of UGLY. To top it off, we had more wind this day then all week . The layout was okay but don't feel like I got a true sense of how I would have scored under different conditions. Fairways & rough were okay.
Enjoyed the experience!
Played the bad and then the ugly. Very excellent greens and fairway condition. Fun to play. Some very beautiful and challenging holes
Bad and Ugly
This is the first time I have played the Bad and Ugly nine holes together. My drive was off that day, but this course no doubt requires fairly precision ball positioning. There is lots of water and hazard areas and the rough is deep. Overall the course was in great shape. I hope to play it again.
