Camp Creek Golf Club, just west of Panama City Beach, is hardly an oceanfront course but the Tom Fazio-designed layout still uses plenty of water and sand. Water hazards come into play on 11 holes. Fazio made use of the sand and natural wetlands on all of the holes though. Numerous bunkers were carefully placed around the greens ready to punish even the slightly errant shot. Golfers have more than the bunkers to watch out for though, there is also heavy rough where your ball will certainly get lost if not careful. The golf course features interesting par 3s including the 14th, which is also one of the layout's most scenic holes. Although it is challenging course to say the least, five sets of tees make Camp Creek Golf Club more accessible.

Must Play Track

Great course. The best for sure in the area. One of the best courses I have ever played. As a 2 handicap, I had all I wanted from the tips.

Great staff and practice area. Targets on both sides of ranges to prepare for any wind conditions that may exist.

A must for anyone in the Panhandle area.

Best course for the money in the area.

An excellent course for all skills and is extremely well kept. The staff treated each equally regardless of skill level or how much you paid to play. Among my best experiences in this area.

Great course but very difficult

The course was in very good shape and a typical Troon managed course. The greens are huge but the pin placement info was accurate. It is very difficult. Check out the slopes. Unless you are a 5 handicap or less you should probably play 2 up(white).

Challenging

Had a great time at Camp Creek we played Oct. 11 2012. The course was in great shape, need to be accurate on your shots if not than your ball is lost. Lots of elevation changes, used every club in my bag. We didn't have GPS with us but the sprinkler heads had distance marked on them. They give you a sheet with distance from center of green to pin placement + or - yards. The course plays well for a lefty or a righty. Will play again next time down there.

Incredible

Can't wait to play it again. Every aspect was manicured to perfection. Greens were difficult to read and lightning fast, but that is expected from a Fazio designed course. Quiet, serene, no houses with "yard equipment" noises to distract you, because at this course, you need to think your shots through and execute. It's a perfect blend with the natural landscape. I will definately be back to play it again.

Great layout but not for the money.

It is a good Fazio layout but the condition was average at best. For the price and what they were charging is why I give it a poor rating. It was one time ranked in the top 10 in Florida but can see why it is no longer in the top 10.
