Well maintained course
My first time playing this course. It was well maintained. Only issue for me is a few of the fairways were too narrow. That coming from a golfer who doesn’t play often enough.
Good course, minimal amenities
Played with my brother in law from out of town. Pro shop, carts, starter cover the the basics. Course was in decent shape with the greens recently aerated and a bit furry. Course routing has a number of long rides from green to tee. Hole variety from the Blue’s consisted of short’ish par 5s, either short or long par 4’s, and par 3’s over 180 yards. Too residential for me.
We are in a dry period, course was very green. Tees and Greens in great shape. Greens very fast though.
Very nice course
It was my first time playing there and we only played the back 9, but the people were nice and very friendly. Will be putting it on my list for future trips.
Great layout, great conditions and great price! You need to play this couse. Play white tees first then challenge yourself and play the blue tees.
A Perfect Day of Golf
We thoroughly enjoyed our mid morning round of golf. Pace of play was good, although the singles booked behind us made us feel a bit rushed. We will definitely be back!
The course was in great condition despite abnormal rain fall. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Excellent track with multiple tees. Bunkers were rough due to excessive rain
had a great day course was in excellent shape rained at 16th hole waited for about 45 min and finished up course is well maintained great grounds keepers they work very hard and the staff in office very helpful also petee always adds fun to the round
Best course in the area for the money
Best course in the Tampa area for a reasonable price , always consistent conditions, greens, fairways, bunkers etc.
course was a little wet on the 4th but there’s not a dry course in the area with all the rain recently. Play here often and would recommend to anyone who likes a challenging course that is always in good condo
Wet but great!!
It’s rained everyday lately, but the greens were A-plus. Cart path only meant a slower round. A great place to play.
Always a good time.
Always a good time at this course. Some of the greens are still under repair but overall great course, especially for the value.
One of the best tracks around for the $$$. Great value and greens are most consistent in the area for $.
First Time Playing - Must Play Again
A very enjoyable Sunday morning round at the Heritage Isle Golf and Country Course! The golf course staff were super nice and the starter did a great job of keeping everyone organized and on time. The green fee is advertise as a member for the day. The golf course score card has all the key information for the pin flags and hole layout, playing 6972 yards from the back tees. The course provides a good challenge for intermediate golfers. The greens were punched @ 2 weeks prior to our round and you can still see the marks on the greens. They rolled well, but ball speed was not consistent from green to green. We found one or two greens that had problem patches areas around the edges, but the rest were in great shape taking into consideration they had been punched, sanded, and rolled. All the tee boxes were nicely cut. We played the blue tees and white tees on the Par 3s. Most tee boxes were flat with ample room to place your ball. The fairways provided a beautiful green view giving the course a pristine look. There are 150-yard pole markers for the par 4s and par 5. The rough was cut to about 2-inches, which is not terribly penalizing. The carts were in good shape with sand/seed mixture for divots and a rake for the sand bunkers. The cart girl was superior nice and had a good selection of reasonably priced items on the cart. The turkey wrap purchased by my cart partner was rated“good”. The practice area is near the pro shop and Hole-1 tee and uses floater balls. I am not a fan of floater balls and water targets; however, it is does the job of getting you warmed up for your round. There is a large putting and chipping green adjacent to the hitting area. Note: I dropped a putter head cover from “Grey Hawk Golf Course” between parking lot and practice area. It has not been turned-in. Therefore, I caution leaving clubs unattended at the drop bag area. Overall, I highly recommend this course for golfers. Once the greens heal, this will remain a top ten public course in the Tampa Bay area.
Nice course, bad greens
Greens were not good, lots of bare spots, fairways nice, layout nice. Was empty played quick. Lots of mud around the greens didn’t drain well. Hot Friday and no cart person. Overall not a bad course would play again if the greens improved.
Greens still showing sign of aerification, but not bad. One major slow up, but they let me through. Thoughtful course, can be had, but a fair amount of layups. Helps to have plsyed it a few times. Kids in neighborhood sometimes try to be obnoxious.
