Exceptional Executive Course
I was staying with a friend who lives in Ormond Beach, and he wanted to play golf during my visit. He maybe plays 2-4 times/year so I thought this track would be a good place for a twilight round. I booked it solely on the reviews I read from other GolfNow customers. This place was so well kept tee to green, my friend even mentioned how nice it was for the money, and like I said, he doesn’t play that much, but he knew quality. This is a challenging course with exceptional greens. There are 8 par 3s, and all of them require you to be on the correct side of the flag to avoid 3-putts. Bryan in the pro shop was outgoing and friendly. One suggestion, I would raise the green fee $1 and give a divot repair tool to everyone who plays. Or, affix the small flags to the pin that read, “please repair ball marks.” I wasn’t in a rush, so I repaired 3-5 marks on every green. I simply don’t understand the thought process of golfers who don’t repair their marks. I would definitely play this Course again.
A real gem!
Love this par 66 course, challenging, fun, lots of water, well kept, great employees! Try it, it will become one of your favorites also!
Tgray
Fun course everyone was very friendly we had rain most of the day, can’t wait to try it when course is dry, fast greens even wet.we enjoyed our time.
The little gem
As always Crane Lakes treats you like a millionaire member. I had to call and ask if I could come latter because I had an issue at home. Brian didn’t bat an eye and slotted me an hour and a half later. He said no problem come earlier or later. During the round the rain came down in torrents. When I walked into the pro shop Ruth asked me if I got in 18. When I said I didn’t she gave my wife and I a rain check.
You can’t play a better course in Volusia county.
Fine golf course
We play Crane Lakes with at least some regularity and it's always excellent. It's as well kept as course you want to go to and the staff is always friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong by playing Crane Lakes.

This course will show how good you are with your irons also with your driver not to mention your putter.Give this track a Try.
A Jewel of a course!
This is a great challenging course through a mobile home park. Get ready to practice your iron shots, on the par threes. Love, love, love, to play this course. A par 66, still has 2 par 5’s, some challenging 4’s, & some “target golf” par 3’s, even one island green! Always in great shape. Nice practice facility too!
Short challenge
We arrived for a 1230 tee time There was a regular Sunday morning group that was going out. So they moved us up to 1130. And on the back. That was nice. Our first imprecision was that the course was nice and wide. The course is tucked in between a modular home community. Very nice looking and well kept. That said, there were some holes that were kinda tight from the white and black tres. Bring plenty of ball's. You will loose a few from those tee's.
This was a fun challenging track. Not very long but don't be fooled, very challenging. The pace of play was good on this day. Women will love this course. My wife beat me by 10 strokes. Like I said, being plenty of ball's.
I will definitely be back. I recommend those places.
Crane Lakes Golf and CC
This course is in great condition and the Greens are fast and true.
Excellent Condition
I have played this course several times this year and it has consistently been in excellent condition. The fairways are well grassed, the bunkers large and well groomed, and the greens are smooth and fast.
Don't let the course length (it's relatively short) fool you. There are only two par 5 holes and eight par 3 holes. There is a nice variety of hole layouts with a different look for each hole. The challenges are definitely there - from water carries to tough rough to deep bunkers to undulating greens. It definitely helps to have played the course a few times to become familiar with where you want to hit the tee shot where to land the ball on the greens. Though the rough is not deep it serves as true penalty rough and it can be a challenge to get a consistent recovery shot, so it truly encourages you to keep hitting the fairway.
Amazing
First when I book it , it seem a small course but when you play it , it is another story , not an easy course , lot of water to get on the green . Fast green, nice fairway. I had it for my money .
new favourite
the course although shorter than most offers a challenging layout with water in play on a large percentage of the holes. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape . The rough swallowed balls , so it was important to keep tee shots n the short stuff.
my only complaint was the absence of ball washers on the course or carts
Don’t Judge A Course By It’s Numbers
If you look at the par 66 and short yardages of this course and write it off as not worthy of your time and money, you’ll be missing a unique gem. Large, undulating greens rolling a smooth 10-11. Beautifully manicured fairways despite heavy rains in the past few weeks. This course may not be very demanding off the tee, but the premium placed on short-mid irons provides plenty of challenge and enjoyment. Easily worth twice the amount we paid to play. Will be back.
Challenging Course
This course is very challenging as most of the holes have water. Today the greens had been sanded but were still fairly fast and in good condition. Staff was very friendly and the course is one of the most well manicured in the area.
Short and Accurate
A shot makers course with several forced carries over water. Very challenging, length is not at a premium but is needed on several holes. Very unique layout with 8 par threes, 8 par fours and and only 2 par five holes and a par of 66. Don’t let the par fool you it is quite a challenge to play. Not much of a clubhouse but I would play it again.
