Nice Layout, Friendly Staff, Organized
Went as a single and was paired up with two very nice young men. The course has 5 sets of tees so anyone can play a length course that suits their needs. There are a few forced carries so it’s important to play the right tees. The course is fair and fun. I certainly will play again.
Beautiful day for golf.
Greens nice, tees and fairways are average at best. Course needed to be over seeded and wasn’t. Lots of bare spots.
Good condition reasonable price
Long slow round made it tough. Wasn’t this bad the first time I played. Course in good shape but a lot of holes are fairly blah in design.
Tough day-very windy
Sparse fairways and tee boxes
Had a great time and a pretty good round, only problem I had was the reservation I made through GolfNow didn’t show in the system and I paid a fee to GolfNow for absolutely nothing, they had to work me in with my buddies and it was very inconvenient during the check in.
great deal for the money
The greens, and all of the fairway good shape, The staff is as always great and friendly,
I will certainly return and bring more friends.
New ownership is impressive
Course is one of the best in tampa. Great value and awesome food and bev pricing.
Over priced city course
A course that has a layout based upon land, par for that pretty much wraps in a circle because didn’t have enough land. Green conditions were slow and weed everywhere. Actually had a hole cut twice in the same location ridiculously bad. Don’t waste your money overpriced
Nice layout but slow round.
First time playing this course but liked it a lot. Open off the tee but have to play strategically on some of the holes. Course was in good condition and the price is nice this time off year. Could use a Marshall on the course. We had an extremely slow 4some in front of us and made it. 5 hour round. They had multiple holes open in front of them. Overall I liked the course and would recommend it. Had a small aqua driving range and chipping and putting area. Small pro shop and didn’t check out the clubhouse area. Good looking cart girl was a plus. Lol.
Greens are rolling great!
Fun course that’s very golfer friendly and greens rolled great. You can hit some bad shots and not get punished. Loved hole 18 - Great finishing hole. Give Lexington Oaks a shot if you haven’t played it before!
Tough par 3s
Lots of water on this course. Fairly wide fairways except on a few holes. Course in pretty good shape. Par 3s asa group are among the toughest I’ve seen. Recommend playing this track to see for yourself. Only con for me is the drive through Wesley Chapel... too much traffic.
Course is much improved!!!
I have been playing this course for several years now, and this is the best shape i have seen it in since it first opened. I understand that the course is under new ownership, and significant changes have been made already. There are new golf carts, the dining area has been renovated along with back patio being screened in with a bar and tv's now. Not to mention that the greens are in significantly better shape and look healthy. Definitely will be back out and bring friends with to enjoy.
NOT A BAD CHOICE
Last played here 3 years ago due to so/so experience and the travel distance. Heard things were better and decided to try again. Only disappointment was bumpy green conditions due to crab grass/twitch invasion seen first on putting green and then on many of the front nine greens. Didn't seem to be as bad on the back nine. Pace of play negatively affected by 3 Groups of Tourists/Visitors in front of us but improved late in the round when a Pro Shop employee arrived on the 10th tee and found a 2 hole gap at #12. There was no beverage cart on the course; stopped at the turn and 1 beer purchase took 10 minutes; arrived at 10th tee to find 3 groups waiting.
Overall have always liked the layout especially tough finishing holes. Will likely be back sooner rather than later.
Nice Course-Good value
There were a few areas that need improvement. The pace of play was slower than a 64 player tournament. No course ranger was available so several groups were playing extremely slow. Following the end of our round we stopped in the restaurant for lunch. After approx. 5 minutes of waiting for a waitress to acknowledge our presence we left.
Course in great shape greens a bit slow but true really enjoyed my round
Needs a lot of TLC
Greens were abysmally slow and not very true. Fairways were quite bare, bunkers were rock hard or very wet. Looks like the course is just being let go. There were workers cutting nonexistent grass on some holes and the greens did not appear or feel like they had been cut in several days.
New Ownership - Still an Winner
Took my group of 12 players out after a raining overnight and morning. Course drained well and by mid round course was great. Greens were a little slow(understandable with the weather) but rolled true. Everything else was looking good!
Fairways and Greens need work I think they are working on them both but right now there not very good I don't like very tight lies in the fairways and the the greens needed cut spend was about 6 witch I like about 12 to 14. I really like this course I have played it about 8 times and it was the worst shape I have seen it.
If you haven’t played Lexington Oaks since it has new ownership you owe it to yourself to go. Greens rolling true. Course in best shape in years. Remodeled clubhouse. Nice screened-in patio for 19th hole. You are in for a pleasant surprise and a great value!
