Great challenge for anyone.
I played the course for the first time and found it moderately challenging. It has water in play on just about every hole. It requires accuracy with your mid- and short-irons. You can hit a driver on two holes but, again, water is in play and they are narrow. If you are not very accurate just lay up and avoid the frustration. I enjoyed it and look forward to playing it again.
horrible
Bad course, bad neighborhood, run down facility, every tee box crosses the next holes fairway. Only 9 holes and they sell 18, make you do the same course twice. First and last time for me.
Lauderhill Golf Course
This course was absolutely horrible, I understand it is not a top
Dollar golf course and I did not expect that. But i did expect a much better golf condition to me this was a total waste of both time and money. It would be much more worth it to spend the Dollars hitting golf balls on a driving range than so call playing golf here. It is obvious that this course is completely neglected and it show that in every way.
Good to practise your irons.
Has several short Par 3s; therefore you must be comfortable with your irons.
It's an Executive Length City Owned Muni folks!
Those who have ripped on this course are not being at all realistic in their expectations. If dropping $60, $80, or more for a round of golf down here at this time of year is fine with you, then no, I would skip this place. However, I just checked and I still see tee times offered here for $5 for 18 holes! This course is owned and operated by the City of Lauderhill FL itself and it is what it is.
The negatives... It's Short and I mean really short.
The tee boxes are in rough shape.
The greens are not pristinely manicured so your putt is not going to roll true.
The positives... this course will challenge your short game. You know, the part of the game where you actually win or lose?
The fairways are narrow. Yes, that is a plus! You are forced to hit an accurate shot instead of just bombing away down 120 yard wide fairways.
The greens are small. So how's your pitching chipping and putting?
The folks running the place were very nice and so were the other golfers I spoke with.
Yes, you can walk a golf course in South Florida! I hope you are as amazed as I was. I started playing 34 years ago when everyone walked.
YOU CAN PLAY 18 HOLES FOR $5 WALKING!
Don't bring the guys from the executive lounge or your country club.
Don't bring your driver if you hit it over 200 yards.
And please, don't bring your attitude.
If you don't do that and instead try to see the place for what it is, instead of what it isn't... you may just enjoy yourself. I did.
ok
good for the money, if you want to play a couple of holes a day this is th course.
Not Bad for the money
Had a hard time defining where the tee's were and which hole they went to. There was a noticeable amount of animal droppings on playing surfaces. But Staff was nice and hospitable, and was a great value overall. Would probably come comeback but not immiediatley
Poor condition, but cheap
Course requires a lot of attention. Tee boxes overgrown and greens in fair to poor condition. Staff was not familiar with GolfNow.com. Can't beat the price though.
