The Estate Club
About
The Estate Club is an 18-hole course in Lancaster. At 6, 249 yards from the back tees, the course is not particularly long but it does provide an enjoyable round for players of any skill level. The layout sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. Golfers are faced with tricky uphill and downhill shots as well as many shots that are completely blind. In addition to the varying undulations, there are water hazards that come into play on seven holes as well as a generous smattering of bunkers throughout. There are enough challenges to keep more advanced players entertained but a beginner wouldn't be out of their league. The Estate Club is in good company with both the Pleasant Valley and Valley View golf courses nearby.

Course needs to be torn up and redone
This course was in terrible shape. The tee boxes, fairways and rough all were the same length and type of grass. The greens were atrocious! Mix of brown grass, crab grass and weeds were the 3 different types of grass on the greens. Not to mentioned how slow and inconsistent the greens were. I could have had a more consistent roll on carpet than those greens.
This course either needs to be shut down or completely re-done.
On the positive side, it was only $14 for 18 holes so I guess it's a glorified driving range in its current state.
Water water water
Greens were either like Concrete or they were fuzzy. Alot of brown everywhere. I asked if they watered anything and the guy told me that their pump was broken. But from hearing from others people it has been broken for awhile now.
This place used to be a great course. Some of the greens were so dry that they are cracked. That's alot of neglect. I will not play here again. Ever.
I'm just glad I only paid 15.00.
Bad Experience at Estate Club
This was not a very good experience. Staff allowed golfers to tee off on back 9 when we were getting ready to make the turn.
Staff allowed a five some on the course during peak hours.
nice cheap course
I play this course through GolfNow so I can play for 10 or 12 bucks. The conditions are only fair: fairways are marginal and greens are extremely slow. Still, I usually enjoy my round. I play in the afternoon and the pace is pretty quick as there aren't a lot of groups out there then, even on weekends. I find the layout a bit quirky but fun. Not bad for a quick inexpensive 18.
Bachelor Party Weekend
Course was in good shape, but had very slow greens.
By far the worst golf course I have ever seen
The fairways have two and a half inch rough couldn't even find your ball in the Fairway left after three holes the greens were so Shaggy worse than putting on living room carpet actually a detriment to any golfer trying to play any type of decent golf. This course in major need of help or just shut down all together.
Good potential but need professional attention.
Below average course conditions however you can appreciate the effort being made to upgrade the course.
Ging downhill
Course was a cow pasture early this year but teaching my 12 year old the game for 12 bucks a round was fine . now in late August the course is brown and in terrible shape
Good value for Hot Deal
Got this course with a Hot deal - was worth paying that amount. Paying at course for full amount would have been overpaying. I like the course layout (front 9 is little confusing on hole layout, back 9 is much more enjoyable). I believe the course underwent a mgt change couple years back. Need to invest in fixing the greens (were not cut on a Sunday and lots of weeds), then start to fix fairways and tee boxes. The course does have potential and is worth playing just to check it out. They have put in a nice bar area that has good selection of craft beer and wines.
Terrible course
Would not recommend this course to anyone. The conditions were awful, the layout is confusing and the pace of play is slow.
country setting
people very nice , golf cart ready for us, course in good shape, greens kind of slow but overall not a bad day on the course.
MOW THE FAIRWAYS!!!!!
I have played this course a lot the last 3 years. Staff is excellent. New bar/cafe is very nice. The course needs basic upkeep and is being rehabbed. MOW THE FAIRWAYS. I have played this 3 times so far this year and the fairways have been as long as the rough. Unable to find ball in middle of fairways without searching. Tee boxes are terrible (#8 the worst). Greens are bumpy and long grass. I not complaining about big money fixes (carts and cart paths) just the basics. Mowing and course management. I have introduced 6 people to the course and all of them said they will not return. I really want to see this course thrive but not mowing or replanting is inexcusable. Side note 4some on #1 took 25 minutes and did not let us play through on next hole, ended up skipping hole to bypass them. Sprinklers on greens also randomly turned on while playing 2 holes
Great Deal
I play here often and it's up and coming under new management.
Condition
Staff was great and friendly, track was terrible. Looked like they hadn't even attempted to maintain it since mid August. Grass was so deep you couldn't find your ball if you hit it in the middle of the "fairway". Which is a stretch to call it that. Signage was bad and holes were too close together. Twice I hit toward the wrong green because I couldn't tell which one was for that hole. Tee boxes were terrible and greens had ground mole hills
Worth the money!!!
I will say the course is a bit run down as the fairways are a bit long and the rough needs some attention. Easy to lose golf balls when you thought your ball went straight down the fairway. However at $10 hot deals and being so close to my house it is worth it. There are zero sand bunkers and staff explained they are high grass bunkers but they arent as high as the rough. The staff is always friendly and i play here at least once a week. Worth the trip if your close.
TERRIBLE
This course was terrible. It started off with the staff. The guy there was in a bad mood, short with us, and seemed as if we were a bother. The fairways are similar to the fields you drive by on your way to the course. The greens are peppered with shaved down weeds and the course layout will make you dizzy. The golf carts are half falling apart but it makes sense cause the cart paths are similar to a baja race in the desert. I don't usually write reviews but I was so disappointed in this course. Hope this helps.
Disappointing
I played this course a little over a year ago and gave it the benefit of the doubt considering it was under new management. In anticipation that it would be vastly improved from last year, I decided to try again this year. To my demise, it appeared to be in the same condition it was last year.
-There is very little differentiation between the fairway and rough due to the fairway grass being too long.
-The greens are pretty rough. Even have some weeds sprouting on certain holes.
-The cart paths are a complete mess. I found myself driving on the grass because I thought I was going to bounce out of my cart if I would have stayed on the path.
-The scorecards are completely wrong. I honestly threw my scorecard away halfway through the round, and surprisingly enough it wasn't because I was playing badly but, because the yardage was completely misleading.
-The bunkers are now non-existent. You can easily tell locations where there used to be a bunker however, they're now just a pit of weeds.
I think the course has potential. It has a very interesting layout and some drive-able par 4's, which can lead to some very low scores. If the course ever wants to reach it's potential, it must be better maintained, must have weed treatment on the greens, get new cart paths, update their scorecard, and keep their bunkers alive.
this course is a calf pasture surprised I didn't see cows out there grazing
holes on top of each other clearly there is no architect involved somebody just put in 18 holes90 degree dog legs
Nice course for price
This course was nice for the price I paid. If I paid full price I would not have been as pleased. Not all greens are in best of shape. I liked the scenery. The next holes to be played were confusing in trying to find them. But at the price I payed I would go again.
Nice for the price
Greens were patchy and fairway grass was a little long but was an enjoyable course.
