Nice course improving every time I play there
Course is getting better every time I play there. Fairways are spotty, greens are getting better for the most part. Need to get a move on the clubhouse.
Coming back
Course is in much better condition than a few months ago. Greens for the most part are much better, but a little inconsistent. The worst green is 12, but is getting better, they are trying to get it back. Fairways are a little sparse in spots, but getting better. Price is good for a course that gets played a lot.
Decent Course for the $$$
Mayfair is consistently a decent course to play.. Its noting special but the greens were in excellent shape. Fairways & Tee Boxes could use a little TLC. All in all a pleasant round.
Low Budget
The only reason you would come here is if nothing else available. Tee times were running 30 mins behind pace of play was awful 5 hrs. The course layout is great bul conditions deplorable. Sparse grass everywhere, geens sloped and hard as concrete. No fun chipping from no grass to a green thats impossible to hold!
Enjoyable vacation round
I selected the Mayfair CC golf course for a second round while my wife and I were traveling through the area, initially as we drove by the course. This was the second round based upon my first experience which was very enjoyable. The fairways and tee boxes had some issues from winter weather and recent rain, but overall the course was in good condition. I would play there again because the experience was very good, and the staff and local golfers were very friendly and accommodating.
Fun (windy) golf round
For my second round ever on this course (twice in one week), I was pleased again because of the course challenge (wind and layout) and staff friendliness; I booked online with the GolfNow app (non-hot deal) and was paired with a couple; my wife rode with me again without a rider fee which was welcomed; the course had some areas affected by the winter conditions, but I was aware of winter conditions which are unavoidable by course management; I enjoyed the round despite the gusting winds (20+) and realize my game is also coming out of winter affect; I played here a second time because my first experience earlier in the week was worth the green fee and overall experience.
Under 60, don’t bother
They are very proud of how fast their greens are, which they are but they aren’t smooth. So while they may be as fast as Shingle Creek, they are as unsteady as the Grand Canyon. Also they have a special for those 60 and over $35 miles high makes it look like a retirement community. They also have just enough carts for the amount of people on their course, which makes for frustrated employees.
Not worth
First time playing this course, way overbooked with lousy tees to greens conditions. Only plus was the course provided free range balls.
Course need lot of improvements
First time playing this course. On Sunday it's way overbooked. Lousy tee boxes, fairways without too much grasses plus plenty bare spots, most greens were unputtable. Only plus was with friendly staff plus free range balls. Not worth the money even with GN hot deals.
Day at Mayfair
The course was not to crowded, but the pace of play could have been better, had to wait on the group in front. The Tee boxes were not very well maintained and footing was not good.
The green on hole 12 was horrible in condition. Extremely rough. I have played there lots and the course is usually better maintained.
NICE VOURSE AT A GREAT PRICE.
Overall the course was in excellent shape. Fairways and greens west well maintained.
While I don’t expect in cart GPS or anything at the low price we paid I do not think it is too much to expect ball wading stations at each hole and a sign with a diagram of the hole along with yardage from each tee box.
Just OK
I really wanted to like this course but pretty disappointed. The pace of play was too slow with no rangers anywhere. The conditions were average but I thought the greens were fast and true. Cigarette butts all over the course - LOL. The clubhouse is a trailer. I am guessing they will build one eventually. Golfers driving the carts right up to the green. Unbelievable. No dress code. Need an illustration of the course on the scorecard. Friendly employees.
