Cost Too Much For What You Get
Good. Purse but not worth $175. No refreshment cart. Slow pace.
Fun place to play
Enjoy the course. Nice to play there as we stay on the island for a month each year. Cost can bean an issue. Unfortunately play off the island do to prohibitive pricing.
Good Golf Course
Greens are very good. Fast but fair. Short course (even from the tips) with water on most holes. At times it felt like target golf.
sanibel gem
this course isn't long but it's very strategically laid out. a lot of sand and water come into play. this is a course that makes you think. you need clean approach shots. the course itself is always in excellent shape.
Great course but pace of play way too slow
Great course, beautiful, water in play about every shot, bring extra balls. Pace of play so slow that several groups dropped out. Dunes needs to improve pace of play.
Tight course and slow play
The course was very tight and short with lots of water hazards. The surroundings were beautiful and the course was in good condition. However, the pace of play was way too slow and no one was helping to solve the issue.
Cool Day
The course air temperature on the day I played was a little cold in the morning at 62 degrees. Greens and fairways were in great shape. The Pro Shop was well laid out with nice inventory. Enjoyed the cocktail bar and the friendly bartender/server. Course layout required strategic placement of drives and fairway irons. I liked the course and look forward to coming back next winter.
Way over priced
Over $160 and the front 9 is an executive course and $10 for a small bucket of balls. Make sure you Cheviot the number of holes if you book a tee time. It comes up as 9 holes and looks like a good price at $80.
