Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Red/White Course

Not a good day 35 minute drive took an hour and fifteen minutes after I called for directions instead of following my GPS. Took 43 minutes coming back after getting a refund.

I got the tee time online and also selected the food option. After I paid I went out and there were no carts, when I spoke to the starter she said I was with a group of three and they went to the range. I just stood there and she said I could carry my clubs up there a walk up and bring the cart back. I walked with my bag by saw no one on the range. Other folders were saying the range balls were supposed to be there. There were none, they had not picked them from the range. The starter came up and we found my group. We then found out tee off times were a 1/2 hour behind.

I took my bag and went to a pro shop and asked for a refund. They asked why and I told them what had written above. The person at the pro shop tried to defend his directions but the other 3 golfers I found out were staying at the same resort as me.

The refunded my money and i asked about the food order. They said they did not charge me for that because i didn't mention it even though i reserved it that way.

This was extremely disappointing since i heard positive things about the course.

Haven't played the course in a long time very pleased with the course condition greens were fast and smooth on a ball Mark so sorry paired about 10 or 12 per green the starters are very rude they had that Northern attitude other than that very good course

Course is a little dry but played nice. Greens are pretty good shape.

5 1/2 hours for a round of golf is terrible. Arrived to find out there was a tournament on but even still it shouldn't take 5 1/2 hours to play. Marshall's should do there job. Saw cart girl once the entire time. Shouldn't have to pay for range balls in my opinion. Thankfully the course was in good shape. Will go elsewhere in future.

Greens a little brown out and damage. But good layout

This course is a a great challenge for beginner's and intermediate players. if you can hit about 250+, expert level players it should be a challenge but still a fun course. Beginner's with 4 players will go through 9 in 4 hours. I lost 9 and money due to time running out. Staff stated make up or redo as the clubs had to be back by 7pm. Also no peg's with Cart as well.

The greens were a bit rough. Enjoyed the round fun course.

Great fun pairing with another Canadian and a local. Course design and conditions are good, so was the pace.

If you are looking for a decent golf course that has very good value, then Royal St Cloud is the place. Always in decent condition with friendly staff and good amenities. Recommended

If you like Links style courses, this is one that you should check out.

The course layout was nice and challenging. The wind was blowing hard when we played, so club selection became a challenge in itself.

There are several sets of tees for all skill levels and the pace of play was great.

The greens were a little slower than we preferred, but they still rolled nicely. The carts don’t have GPS on them, so knowing distances to hazards, etc. was a bit of a challenge as well. Especially when they were somewhat hidden.

It still ended up being our favorite course we played while were in town and will definitely play it again the next time we are back in town.

Great course for the money. Greens were decent with a great pace of play. Never disappointed the few times I have played here. Definetely recommend this course.

Unlike others, we had no problem with pace of play today. Teed off at 11:30 as three singles, joined on #2 by a fourth. We all had our own carts, but still didn't have to wait on the group in front of us much. The Red nine was in prefect shape. The White nine greens, however, had some serious issues. There were bare spots, tons of unrepaired ball marks, and gouges. The green speeds were slower there as well, apparently to help the grass grow in. That was tough to adjust to. Fairways and bunkers were very good, though. The main starter didn't have me anywhere on the tee sheet even though I made the tee time very early in the day, and I was in the system when I checked in at the pro shop, but they still got me out on time.
