The course is conveniently close to my house
The course is close to my house and they allow my 6 year old son to play for free. Everyone is friendly especially to my son. The only complaint I have is 3 par 3's in a row and no par 5's. The restaurant has delicious food as well.
Need rain
I have played the coarse in the spring for 3 years This was the worst conditions I have seen
They received little to no rain in the winter and spring
Needs some help from Mother Nature
A good coarse when it has grass will be back next spring to play again
this course is always working for improvements
Played this course many times and have witnessed many improvements, Manager and staff seem intent on accomendating everyone.
Seniors vacation course
Very crowded and confusing layout.
Greens very slow. Sand traps in good condition.
People of the RV community were very friendly.
christmas day
I was so happy to find an available round of golf for Christmas day, even though it was 30 minutes away. GPS sent me all over the place, finally stopped a little old lady and she gave me directions, got there with 10 minutes to spare, only to find you that they weren't open for play!!!!!
Thoroughly upset !!
Having a good time
The course was really good it's a three and four par course. but it was challenging and the greens were really good. We enjoyed it. we played from the blues the first time and then fall back to the yellow on the second time of the 9 holes and had a really good time. I would recommend this course to others if you just want to have a fun day.No big challenges.
frank white
Nice course.... the greens can be a little fast on some holes.... If you like to golf you will have a good time there. The people there are very friendly .
Nice little course but....
A short nine-holer you play twice to make 18. 6 short par 4s and 3 par 3s, all in a row in the middle. best walked, no cart needed. The staff are friendly, the course is well maintained and surprisingly challenging in places. The course makes good use of bunkers, has undulating, small greens, which makes up for how short the holes are. Leave your three wood at home, unless you want to use just it off the tees on 294 yd par 4s from the tips! All is all it's a nice little niner for old people and duffers but I wouldn't recommend it to a serious golfer.
Great course, great value.
This is a very fun 9 hole course. The greens and fairways are in excellent condition. The staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is excellent. By far, the best value in the Gainesville/Ocala area.
Ecxellent 9 hole course.
Ver nice out of the way 9 hole course , Nice greens, well cared for course.
Grand Lake
A very nice and affordable 9 hole course. The restaurant is excellent and overlooks beautiful Orange Lake.
Crowded but worth it
The greens and fairways were in great shape and the surroundings were aesthetic. Other players were not dressed in golf attire so they are lax on that. Other plYers and staff were hounding us about a. 90 degree rule but it wasn't posted as such. The campground was full so the golf course was also.
GL
After playing many courses in Florida, I found Grand Lake to be one of the "best kept" secrets in Central FLA. It is neat, clean and challenging. The staff are friendly and check in at the pro shop is a breeze.
The ony drawback for some is that it is a 9 hole course so to play 18 you go around twice on the 9 holes.
This was an enjoyable experience
I enjoyed playing this course. The conditions were great and the staff was friendly.
A Gem of a Course
Tucked away in one of the nicest RV parks in the area is this wonderful little course. Great place to work on your short game. Greens were slow and putts regularly stopped short of the hole. Although mostly wide open, there was some interest. 5th hole is short, under 100 yards but requires a tee shot between two trees and over a deep, and I mean deep, chasm which guards the front of the green. Mishit and your ball is gone. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Oh, and the restaurant, The Eagles Nest, served excellent food. I had the gator tail. Worth the drive - 40 minutes for me! No pun intended.
