Great Value
Tremendous Value for the price. There aren't many courses in Orlando this time of year that are under $60, and the few I've played recently in that range don't compare to Eagle Dunes. The conditions weren't perfect, but they were better than average and it has a very fun layout. No complaints, I'll be back.
yuck don’t do it—-
poa greens tee boxes average at best fairways looked burnt out and bunkers were not maintained
45 each for the course on a hot deal is embrassing
it’s probably worth 20.00 at best-
they need to put a lot more money into it - period.
course layout was fun- course condition terrible
eagle dunes - you guys can do much better
Thursday Afternoon Golf Outing
Well even for $35 pp I would not recommend it. All tee boxes were in bad condition. Front 9 greens were sparse grass and mainly dirt. Back 9 greens were better.
Staff are great, pace of play was good and the layout was nice.
Improving conditions
I have been playing Deltona club for years and witnessed its ups and downs. Greens are sandy but roll ok. Average speed and, because they are sandy, don't always roll true. Fairways are ok, traps need some work (green side bunkers are fine but the other "water/rain capture" bunkers have too many weeds in them. The staff are always friendly and great at what they do. Hopefully, the greens will get back to the great condition that they once were.
Priced Right
Eagle Dunes is worth playing for the price. A really good layout but only average to below average conditioning. Fairways are dry and spotty but if you don't mind rolling the ball it's a fun track. Greens are average and playable and are consistent hole to hole. The staff is pleasant and accomodating. I'd play it again when in that area. A good value.
Nice Layout
Course was in typical shape for a non-overseeded course in the winter in Fla. Fairway grass was thin, rough was bare and sandy in spots, but you cannot expect a good lie if you hit it in rough. Greens held shots and putted quick and smooth. 1 or 2 greens had sand in bare spots, but it did not come into play. Starter was friendly. Will definitely go back. Price between $30 and $50 ie=s definitely worth playing.
Course is going DOWNHILL and FAST !
I have played here many times over the last 5 years and this is the worst shape that i have seen it. Weeds galore , terrible tee boxes, many weedy rough greens. $20 a round is all its worth! Are you guys going to put any money back into this once nice course ?
Great layout. Challenging.
A lot of elevations, a lot of valleys, some blind shots, and plenty of sand.
Greens were in pretty decent shape. A lot of bare Fairway areas. It was a fun course to play anyway.
Staff is very friendly. Basic amount of food/snacks. Decent beer selection.
A course in a deep spiral downward
We have played this course every year for the past 8 or 9 seasons. This year was a surprise - the tees were quite bad, the greens were all diseased with no grass or subsurface at all, the fairways were sparse, the bunkers and waste areas were not maintained and overall condition was terrible. We were shocked as we played it last year twice and it was very good.
Meh
Love Eagle Dunes. Used to play here a lot, but have since started going other places and now I remember why.
Our Tee Time was around 1215 1230, and I guess around noon on Mondays, they have a skins game go off. Well, today, this skins game, which I would guess is normally 5 groups or so, brought a bunch of extra people, without tee times. The course then decided that was okay, and to just have everyone pushed back. We didn't tee off until a good bit after 1. I understand that you gotta take care of your larger groups like that, but that was a really tough start to the day. We then played at almost a 5:30 pace which was insanely slow.
I can play slow and be happy, when the condition of the course is good. It was not. There's almost no grass in the fairways, and while it makes you feel like you can hit long drives, it makes iron play tough. The sand was also not in good shape. I know it was been rainy, and in fact, it rained while we were out there, but some of those bunks looked like they had not been looked in months.
I used to love Eagle Dunes, and I pray they come back, but it's borderline unplayable now even without being 30+ minutes behind schedule and slow.
Dunes is Always Solid
Solid conditions, had a lot of rain just before and the greens were soggy. A little sun and some dry air to help. Fairways were solid. Tee boxes avg. Busy so sent us off the back. Dunes is the best of the 3 in area right now. Staff way friendlier than the people at Black Bear in my opinion.

Nice layout
Very nice course, good hills and huge bunkers. Very wide open. Only bad thing I can say is the usual pace of play. Brutally slow. Otherwise very good and will play again.
EAGLE DUNES IS A DISGRACEFUL GOLF COURSE.
STAY AWAY!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
