Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club
About
Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club is a Scottish links-style layout that is routed through sparkling lakes and carefully preserved conservation areas. The challenging layout features narrow tree-lined fairways and water hazards on all 18 holes. The front nine is short and tight, which contrasts nicely with the longer and more open back nine. Overall though, the golf course is not particularly long by modern standards. It is a shot-maker's course, requiring both accuracy and skilled iron play. The course has a challenging finishing hole that sums up the best elements of the course. This par-4 is a sharp dogleg right with a slew of bunkers and a pond to reckon with. The hole borders a nature preserve, making it the prettiest and most challenging hole on the course.

If you live outside this community you won't like it
This is an "In a community" golf course parallel to a major highway which is very distracting. Add traveling on the roads of the community, and houses flanking the fairways and we certainly didn't feel like it was a typical golf course experience we adore.
Saturday's the kitchen closes at 3:00 pm....what?
Lots of water
The golf course was in good shape would play again.
Good layout
Got a great deal with GolfNow.
The course was near empty, probably due to the holidays. The course condition was un kept, leaves, debris on greens and bunkers in poor conditions.
Seems everyone plays the executive course and not the regular course.
Glad I did not pay full price.
That's my opinion!

Easy but enjoyable
Played the 18-hole course. Very good value for the $14 green fee thru GolfNow. Shot values are adequate; only a couple of challenging approach shots on par 4s from the fairway.
Course conditions are excellent. Greens are smooth and roll fast but putts tend to break a little more than the slopes appear to show. Grain is a non-factor.
Always in good condition
This course is a little on the short side but is always in excellent condition. It is placed in a community and many of the holes are too near the community homes. A good value for the dollar especially on golfnow.
Excellent Course
There were 3 golfers in my party and we all had a great time!
Good round good place. Great price.
Always a fun and challenging place to play. Greens were fantastic.
Course is narrow in some areas so can be a little challenging. But no lnock on th course. Just my abilities.
Tight and Boring
I have been golfing in the Tampa Bay Area for over 30 years and played TBGCC for the first time recently. The course was in good shape, however, the course layout seemed like it was a after thought. Going from hole to hole is mostly by driving on streets which really kills the serenity of the game. The cart paths are fair at best. This course was planted in a retirement community and is well placed. If you are an above average golfer you will not enjoy your time on this course. This course was meant for the high handicapper.
I would never golfing on this course again.........even if it was free.
Nice Sunday Afternoon
Course in fair condition, only group on course, staff extremely friendly.
Great place
awesome place to play golf had a great time fairways were awesome greens were perfect
Cut the grass!
Course in really good shape other than the far too thick Bermuda rough and mud/dirt traps where sugary sand should be. The first rough cuts are far to thick and deep. Lost several balls just off the fairway because of the too deep rough. When balls were found, the thick rough was very difficult to get out of. A little too much "penalty" for us ball spraying Duffers! The price was extremely good!
Surprising
Where this course is short in yardage it is made up in strategy. Conditions fair, weeds, bare spots, uneven tee boxes, very small greens to land on. Good time for a twosome.

Great little find not so little of a course. nice layout just all out great day of golf Not the most difficult Great value for the price We will be back.
Very tight
Course was ok. Very much a targeting course with some very tight fairway, lots of sand, and lots of water. Frequently driving through the streets of the community to get between holes - follow the signs or get lost! 17th hole is strange. The starter advised us to play to the 150 marker and that was a good idea. Many holes are not for your driver. Play was very slow in the front 9 but picked up after that when the residents dropped out. Clubhouse was nice with good service.
In any case, probably won't play there again. Not my cup of tea.
Wow! That's a lot of water!
Short par fives...short par fours....a lot of scoring chances IF you can stay out of the drink! Water on EVERY hole. Lots of fun...worth playing.
Worth the trip
Course is in great shape, water on every hole. There are a lot of par 3 holes but the hazards make them challenging. Take extra balls the water is always in play. We had a fun morning.
Very nice course and excellent conditions
We played Tampa Bay 18 hole course for the 1st time and enjoyed it. You have to hit it straight to keep it out of the water but there is enough room on most holes. Several holes were quite challenging due to the bunkering. Hole 17 was very tricky and a bit unfair maybe, particularly if you have not played it before. We really enjoyed it but if you were in the water all day it might not feel so great. Conditions were very good. Greens are lightning fast but fair. Price was a bargoon on GolfNow. We will return for sure but I would not want to play it all the time.
Excellent value
Lots of water hazards. Shot- makers course. Bring lots of balls.
