About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jun 2018.
Located in Lehigh Acres, Mirror Lakes Golf Club originally opened in 1958 as part of Admiral Lehigh Resort. It's one of the area's oldest courses. The club was re-founded in 1970 and got a new name and look. From the back tees, the golf course stretches to just over 7,200 yards for a par of 73. It's more difficult than the original design but it's also more fun. The course is long and mostly wide-open. Overall, it's player friendly enough for players of any skill level. Despite what its name would imply, sand comes into play more than water. The 11th is Mirror Lakes Golf Club's signature hole. This unique par 6 features a heavy smattering of out-of-bounds and bunkers along both sides of the fairway as well as a heavily guarded green. From the back tees, the hole will challenge even the best golfers.

Don't forget to say hello to "wild Bill" the starter!! Photo submitted by Robyn6520962 on 10/14/2012
We found the course to be in horrible, shape. Palm tree still lying down and dying probably fro the hurricane last fall, I dont think the course has been watered since. they should close the course down and get it repaired but maybe there ie no fixing iy
About to close
This course is in bad shape. No grass, lots of weeds, greens are in poor shape, cart paths are bad and the old carts need trading in. They have not cleaned up the fallen trees from Hurricane Irma, that block some of the cart paths. The traps are just fair and the rakes are pitiful!
If you can play it for $20, then go because it won’ be around after April. They’re not spending any money on it.
Had a great day we finished our round it out three hours 10 minutes will be back
Just sad that over the winter, the course deteriorated to the point that many greens were dried out so much that the surface was cracked as well as fairways with no grass. In much need of irrigation. Having said that, the bunkers are in decent shape. Staff is friendly and I do like the layout as it has contour and slight elevation change.
Windy, Windy Windy.
To be fair, the windy conditions when i played, made the game unenjoyable. The greens were slow, fairways hard but playable however the wind was the pits. Left after 9 holes.
If it's going to a windy day don't bother.
Hurricane Damage
I've played this course a few times. The course is still recovering from the hurricane damage from last fall. MANY trees uprooted and it appears they are having trouble with their irrigation system as many parts (tees and fairways) were extremely dry. For the time of year, and realizing it's prime vacationer time, the fee was a bit steep for the conditions of the course.
Bad shape
This course is in really rough shape. Not much grass on the fairways, the greens were very rough and bumpy. The sand traps were dirt, not sand and very hard. We only paid $30 but I wouldn’t even pay that to play here again.
Fast greens and fast pace of play
This course is just under 6700 yards from the white tees. Sadly, the green tees at 6000 yards are no longer available or on the scorecard.
Greens and fairways are victims of weeds and invasive species of grasses. However, greens were running about 10.5 despite a few bare spots. Fairways are also cut short enough to play reasonably well.
There are no forced carries over water, but water awaits those mishits left and right on several holes on both the front and back 9s.
All in this course gives the above average golfer plenty to think about and to like.
a good value. If this course was in Chicago it would cost twice as much to play on a Saturday. Good layout, helpful staff. I would definitely play this again.
Feels like a place the locals go to
First time playing here. Only 2 complaints and 1 really isn’t directly the golf courses fault. You need a map to figure out where you’re going. It isn’t simply ride down the path from hole to hole. Some areas aren’t marked. I was paired up with a couple that had 0layed here before and they were still guessing about where to go. The other problem was the pace of play. We had a group in front of us that were sloooooow. They played like they were the only people out there. So the people behind us were left glaring at us because they didn’t know about the group in front of us. I understand 0eople have bad holes but these guys were just plain inconsiderate. Those were my only complaints. The staff is extremely friendly. Everybody was super nice and accommodating. The course isn’t the most most picturesque place I’ve played but the greens ran true and the speed was consistent throughout the round. So despite the pace of play we had a great time. I usually gauge a course this way....if I lived in that area, would I be a member at that course. I certainly would be a member here if I lived in the area.ill definitely play here next time I’m in the area.
Good value for the cost
greens were lightening fast and in good shape, fairways were good, bunkers were hard....
The condition of the greens and fairways were awful. Weeds growing every where. Ruts in some of the greens with small dirt mounds in many.
