Ok But could be Better
The course actually has a half way decent layout. Good for newer golfers as the course is forgiving and very little water to deal with. The downside is that the course is not maintained very well, lots of crabgrass. The bunkers are like playing off hard ground and lack sand. The greens are very slow somewhat like putting on carpet. I wouldn’t pay more than 20 or 25 dollars to play there. Whoever is in charge of the course (Most likely the community HOA) needs to give the GM a better budget to maintain the course. Course needs sand in bunkers, weed control and water. If it was better maintained I would gladly pay more money to play there. Don’t expect to much for 25 bucks. Outside of the lousy course conditions we did have a good day.
Good playable course
We like Westminster. It is close to us and challenging enough for us. We like all of the improvements that were done last year. Everything is green and maintained during the dry winter months The only issue is that a few greens have many dead grass areas. They are mostly on the front 9 holes. . We know it was a previous issue as well. They seem to be aware of it and are tending to it.
The pro shop is well stocked. The bar and dining area are comfortable.
Nice course
First time playing here. I was down here for work and needed to get out. It was a fun course to play but not a $70 a round course. Once the summer rates kick I will choose the other courses that I have played in the past.
Great Course
All around good course for the value.
Would highly recommend it to others.
Not one bad word to say about the experience
Westminster first time playing
I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the course!
Deceiving course
After being closed for renovation I thought the course would be in great condition but it was far from that.
More than half the greens on the front nine were horrible with patches covering in certain case more than half the surface. The greens on the back nine were better.
Many of the tee boxes have hardly any grass left.
Very Forgiving Course
The fairways are wide, with trees, bunkers and water well positioned to provide a challenging round of golf. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will definitely play there again.
Greens very slow and patchy in places. Very slow today, 4 3/4 hour round waiting on nearly every. Could get any service at the turn, only one employee and she was struggling to keep up with beverage orders. The course is an excellent challenging layout from longer tees.
Has challenging par 3's. Definitely worth playing. It would have been nice to see better conditions and faster greens, pace of play needs to be marshalled. Would go back on a hot deal.
Nice course, very nice staff - really nice starter, very nice man
We have played Westminister at least 6 times this season - had a nice time. Course is in way better shape than last year but the greens need some more care lately but other than that, we do enjoy the course
Westminster
Like this course
Challenging enough, but not stressful
can just play and relax and enjoy
pretty well kept
greens a bit slow
4 putt
Play was very slow and then the pin on number 7 was in a ridiculous location on a vertical slope on a slick green. This caused a 4 group backup on the tee due to 4 and 5 or 6 or more putting. A putt to the hole came back down the slope, past where the ball originally sat. The ranger came and told us all to take a 2 putt and move on. Apparently nobody paid attention to that. Just move the stupid hole and fire the pin setter. Slow play ruled the day. We quit after 16 never to return.
