My lawn has nicer grass
Fairways in terrible condition bunkers are awful. Greens were okay but needed lots of work. You can hit a good shot and still end up with your ball on a tree stump in the middle of the fairway.
great hills
Full course many players. We got their 20 mins early and had to wait 50 mins for cart. Absolutely ridiculous. The fairways were brown, shallow and sandy. Greens were not consistent for speed. To
start waiting on a cart so long really sucked and fairways were not laid out where you could figure direction to greens. Pretty rolling hills, but the course could use a lot of TLC. and more carts!
A shame
This was at one time a nice course. Some of the layout on the back 9 is great.
Blind tee shots from 18 almost hit us on 17 tee box. Be aware.
Even at a cheap price, I will not return.
do not waste your time
Worst condition course,i have played ever. The fairways are non playable. Greens are terrible shape. 12 people with same tee times. Overall worst time on the course
It still beat the best day at work.
Below average golf course
The manicure of the course is not of good standard. The rough is sandy with very little grass. The fairways dry with 60% grass cover?Greens are extremely slow.Below par golf course.
Needs TLC.
Some challenging holes and a nice layout. Must have been a nice place in the days when management actually cared - course is just ok but facilities are brutal. Only played there at last minute so we could fit in an afternoon round at Wekiva. Although have to say we enjoyed our morning round here far more than our 6 hr marathon at Wekiva. It's ok if you don't expect too much.
A great spot
Had a lovely round of golf. Staff were excellent and course was in good shape.
Great for the money
This course was great for the money. It had a few challenging holes. The 10th green was under repair and green area very small.
Don't play it
Pro shop service not very nice people
30 minutes behind tee times.
No carts.
Bad range and range balls, but it didn't matter because that was not available
(on a Sunday)
Decent Value for the Money
Decent value for the money.....at one point in time I am sure this course was a very nice place. The overall course and facilities looks as if it has been neglected...could use quite a bit of updating. However, for the cost....it's still a decent round of golf.
The greens were in good condition, except 10, under repair.
I enjoy this vintage course. The course has well grown trees and small greens, comparied to the resort area greens.
Approach with open mind, older city course
Winding through the streets of Longwood, this is an old style course with an interesting layout that requires precise shots of tee as well as getting to greens in regulation. Greens were pretty slow but for the most part were consistent and not terrible. Some teeboxes and fairways need some work but you get what you pay for..Bunkers need work..I enjoyed the round though..right off i-4..
Don't waste your money
I wS hoping the course would actually improve over time but that's not happening. There are one or two spits on a few fairways that are actually green grass but most if the time it's plAying in a cow pasture or off dirt. The greens aren't even green bit just sand patches. I got a great low GN price and still wouldn't say it was worth it. I will not return even if I could play for free.
Pleasantly surprised...
I went in not expecting too much given the very low price. The driving range is kind of a joke (pond) and they give you balls that look like they were sold there when it opened in 1926, but it's adequate to warm up. If you can keep it in the fairway and on the greens, you would think you were at an expensive course. Both are very well kept and play true. The rough is just that, but is at least cut, so can't complain too much. The first several holes are fairly forgettable, but then there are several that are very nice and both interesting to play and to admire looking at. It does fell like an old course (as it is), but personally I kind of like that. I plan to keep playing there as my frequent backup to the more expensive courses I usually play.
Nice Neighborhood course
Course was generally in decent shape. Great deal for the money. I would play it again. It was a little difficult to find if you've never been there.
Hilly Florida
This course is a nice change of scenery for central Florida - plenty of hills. Theres a number of holes where you hit from the fairway and cant see the green from where you stand. Not too difficult for high handicappers.
Keeps getting better
The course just keeps getting better is the comment my golf buddies say every time we've played Rolling Hills over the last six months. With the great prices, beautiful scenery, varying terrain and wildlife, we'll be back much more often.
This course has great features
Very scenic, has a little challenge to it, but not difficult.
Good Value
Rolling Hills is not a resort course, but for the price the course is very good. Fairways and rough are in need of some care but greens were very good. A hidden gem in the middle of Orlando for local golfers, who just want to play a nice round of golf.
