Par 3s are a challenge and the course can be very fun to play
I had heard about the poor course condition and found it to be true. On the day I played, the greens were sanded down but did not look like they were aerified. The fairways were mowed and one can see some attempts to improve course conditions have been made. It will just take a long time and more work is needed to make the course more enjoyable.
This course needs a lot of work
Every time I have played this course it has gotten worse.
The fairways have very little "good grass" and the greens were sand covered. This was a 2 putt and walk off on all greens.
Until improvement are made I will not play this course again.
The sad thing is I live only 10 minutes away but as they say up North "this is worse then a cow pasture"
awesome value for the money
I will recommend this course to anyone who loves hills and hard doglegs. Sweet
Needs Maintenance
We were the only group out on the front side on a Saturday morning. Ran into a few groups on the back. Course needs work. The greens were shaggy and slow, and the fairways were patchy and hard. Used to go here all the time, but won't be back until the course is improved.
This course is nestled in a quite neighborhood in lovely Longwood Florida. With it's rolling terrain and many water features will challenge any golfer
Great course to play for the money. The course is in much better condition then the last time I played there. I would definitely play there again.
You get what you pay for
Once a pristine jewel, a private club in Seminole county is now just "another" course. We paid $9 per person, which is a great value for 18 holes despite the shape. I wish they invested some capital into this course, it's a great spread that's fairly challenging.
If you get a cheap round, it's worth a shot. At $30 a round, I wouldn't play it.
A value for the money
The course was in decent repair and challenging with fairways nestled in between well-wooded streets and houses. Hazards and pertinent distances were well marked in the complimentary guidebook making for strategic play even for the newcomer. The "rolling hills" undulation was very fun for a change in what is the norm of flat courses in Orlando. For the price of greens fees one can overlook the course vandalism that included vehicle "donut" tracks on one part of the course, spray-painted graffiti, and wrecked water fountains on latrine facilities outer walls (I didn't venture inside..). All in all it was manicured and playable fun.
dont waste your time
The course is in such awful condition that you will just be frustrated the whole round. you can find a much better course for a better price.
Rolling HIlls Golf Course, Florida
This course was priced right through Golf Now, $10. I played the course on a Monday. On Mondays, the club house is closed. No food, no beverage cart and very little water on the course. If you intend to play Rolling Hills on a Monday, bring your own water and lunch.

needs work
I had heard the course had some problems, the greens are in pretty bad shape on some holes, there are some spots that have sand and seed in areas. I guess they have had some sort of disease. .Its a shame ,I had played here in the past and liked it. Its not a long course and not many hazards. I played 9 holes just to get in some exercise and left, I'm sure it will rebound over the winter mts, and be playable by my next visit to fla.I feel for the course management, it must be a very expensive undertaking to keep and maintain a course...I wish them luck
Look elsewhere...
Upon purchasing a round that included range balls and lunch, I arrived at the course at 8 am to discover that they "were out of range balls". Really?? 8 am on a Sunday and you're out of range balls?? Go out in your back yard and find the worst patch of grass that you can find, now multiply that times 20 and that's what the putting green looks like (if you want to even call it a putting green). The greens on the front nine are probably the slowest you can play in central Florida. The greens on the back nine are even worse (and according to some people that work there are "doing much better"). The lunch was actually pretty good on an otherwise disappointing experience. My advice, spend an extra $10 and hit a Stoneybrook West, Eagle Dunes, Victoria Hills (basically any of the real golf courses in the area). This course is officially on my Do Not Play List!
Rolling Hills is nice golf course with some elevation changes on some holes and the course is not very long.
The course was not very busy and the greens are starting to come back.
Worse greens in history of golf
We are talking about greens that have sand traps basically on them, crab grass growing everywhere on them. The greens were totally un playable with the exception of one that maybe could have be passable to someone golfing for their first time. It wasn't even worth the 50% discounted rate of $12. Guy at the front desk seemed completely disinterested and unfriendly however the cart girl gave excellent service. I wouldn't recommend this course to anybody at all.DO NOT PLAY HERE PERIOD.
greens are gone- almost all sand on surface. course in need of lots of tender loving care.
this course needs lots of work. the owners have made a fair course in the neighborhood to a MESS.
Horrific greens
The greens are littered with fungus and sand. I guess they are instituting a new level of difficulty within the sport of golf by pocketing greens with sand traps. Some of the fairways have ridiculous sandy areas and even the grass looks like someones front yard rather than a golf course. Often times landing the ball in the fairway it is either in a patch of front yard grass or a hole of sand. Deplorable course, that leaves much to be desired. I've played here 4 years ago before I left for school across the country and upon my return the course has seemed to of been handed to the dogs. The little amount of grass on the greens is overgrown and the conditions resemble trying to putt in a fairway you hit a 10ft putt and it travels 3 1/2 feett hits a pocket of sand or divot and goes left or right. Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Do not golf here.
This course was not up to standards.
We played this course six months ago. The difference was surprising. The greens were in very poor shape. There was almost no way to make even a simple putt . The rough on most holes was so deep you could not hardly find your ball. We only paid twenty dollars to play but it still was too much to charge for just to tee off and hit to the unplayable greens. In December, the course was in good shape but, in July the . difference was drastic.
I like the elevation changes and the layout of the course. Ther are few photo worthy holes
I have played this course for many years. Over ten at least. It has previously been in great shape. However, sadly to say this was the worst I have seen this course. Barely distinguish the first cut of the rough from the fairway. The greens were sanded heavily and the airation holes were the size if a quarter. I hope they can salvage this course. There is nothing else like it in Orlando with the elevation changes with out having to drive to Clermont or Deland
Horrible conditions
Worst course I have ever been on, should have known with the $8 price, learned my lesson.
