You got what you paid for
With the deal I received, I should not have expected more than I got. The course is in OK shape, but alot of the greens and fairways are need of repair. However to play for less than $33 for two was great.
Members have their privileges.
I have played here before many times. We had our company tournament here about 7 years ago. But the course has changed for the worst. Maintenance is not kept up. We played behind a group of 7, yes 7. The Pro shop was called and the ranger came out to tell us that the group ahead of us are members. The ranger refused, refused to break them up or let us play through. He stated that the order came from the clubhouse. If that's the case I wonder why he was sent out. Too many good courses on Golfnow to ever return here.
Cheap & available
Historic course that has been neglected for quite awhile. OK for high handicappers. Course was empty even on a Saturday. Heavily trapped around the greens. Reasonable green fees. We play this course as it is relatively cheap and uncrowded and we carry high handicaps.
good layout
Course is a good layout. Greens are in pretty good shape. Fairways overseeded with rye and are pretty good. Off fairways, terrible. Bunkers are clean and raked, however, there is very little sand in them.
Over charged me ! Very slow play / need rangers
I booked on line, didn't understand it was for 9 holes ( Have played swiss fairways for $12. for 18 , 3 times) the price was $14. I told the attendant I wanted to play (wife & I) 18, charged me $50.00.At the most it should of been $36.00 . I did make an inquiry, he said its 9 0r 18.
Nice Course
I like the course a lot. Although they were fertilizing the greens when I played this round and it made it very difficult to read the speed. Other than that I will continue to play here.
Course was not well maintained (fair ways). The greens were better.

Overall good conditions. Greens are good.
Fairways need attention in some areas but overall it is good.
Fulfills what it is... a basic older course
I went in nervous that I would not enjoy my trip after reading the reviews here. I tend to take full divots, and so the idea that the fairways would be filled with hard ground and minimal grass scared me. I had a bad experience out in eastern Orange County with similar conditions last year.
But my experience turned out fairly reasonable, really.
I can say, it's the first time I've played a pretty straightforward golf course quite like this in a while. There weren't a bunch of tricks, blind shots, random hazards. The holes were pretty straight, and most of the danger was OB and a few trees, but yet these weren't overly tight or wooded holes. There was room to play without being fearful of hitting drivers... and yet it didn't turn out to be as short as the numbers suggested it might. So it turned out to be a lot of fun playing a pretty meat-and-potatoes golf game. Reminded me of the courses I grew up on down in the southside of Orlando, like Boggy Creek, Meadowwoods, Cypress Creek, and the Greens (all since closed). So it was something I've missed.
The playing pace was quick. The greens, while not amazing, weren't as bad I'd imagined they might be after reading other reviews. The lies were fair enough. I was sad lunch had wrapped up by 2:30, but the guy in the proshop was kind enough. It was really just a pretty straightforward round, the type you don't get to play enough anymore. I'll certainly play here again if the price is as fantastic as this past visit... even despite it being across town.
Needs some care
Rolling Hills is a fun course to play, but could use some attention. It's a decent value for the money, but could be so much more! I would recommend this course to a friend, with the caveat of them knowing the condition of the course. The course could be a jewel, but for the price it is what it is.
Bad conditions, nice layout
Course conditions were very unkempt a with varying green heights poorly defined fairways, soft dry ground of the fairways with little to no actual rough. Beautiful layout and community. Old and unmaintained clubhouse and proshop. This place needs a big infusion of money and updates to compare to other area courses.
Nice elevations after 6th hole. Some unique interesting holes.
Roads running parallel to both sides on 1st few holes. Tree lined course otherwise. Course a little shabby. Fairways thin as well as roughs. Many hard pan areas in roughs. Greens fast but shabby looking. All in all nice course layout. Love the holes w/ hills. Tight course but not as tight as Dubsdread. Will play again.
This course does have some unique features.
Course a little shabby. Fairways thin as well as roughs. Many hard pan areas in roughs. Greens fast but shabby looking. Love the holes with hills. Tight course but not as tight as Dubsdread. I think there are at least 4 holes that have streets along both sides & hitting a moving vehicle from an errant tee shot does get into your head. Carts have windshields & raincover for bags.
This is one of those gems you find from time to time thanks to Golf Now!
Tens of thousands of people drive near this course along I-4 between Daytona and Orlando each day but you cannot see it from the main roads. The course hides among older single family homes and very old tree lined streets. very unassuming setting. This is no modern country club course. No fences around it, OBs are discreetly marked or are are made obvious by the meandering neighborhood roads that criss-cross the 18-hole layout. On top of it, the last 12 holes are laid out on natural elevations with several holes rising or dropping over 100 ft elevations. And for barely $20 including taxes, it's an absolute steal when you find the right deal on GolfNow! Best course for the value I've played in a very long time.
Great layout but needs maintainance!!
The layout itself makes Rolling Hills a golf course worth playing. It does need a little maintainance. They do not have the number of golf carts one might expect so single players are rare if they can pair people up. Noneth less,I suggest you should play this course.
unkept golf course not good too play ay all
they seem too let the golf course go and poor conditions to play would not play agin.
The course is pretty run down, greens are playable
The cost was cheap, I paid 16.00 through golf now. The course is a 2---3 star at best, nice little layout. Old and wore out in some spots. It's worth 20.00 a round course.
This course is worse than a farmer's field with holes on it.
This was by far the worst course I have ever played on in my 30+ years of golfing. The fairways were rock hard with very little green grass. It was almost impossible to find a suitable place to hit your ball off of. The greens may have been the best part of the course and they were only fair. The tee boxes were a joke. From the minute on teed off on #1 until I hit the 81th tee, all I was looking for was the end of the round. I definitely will never golf this course again.
good practice course, great burgers!
track is not in the greatest shape, but for the price it is still a fun round. I have played here a lot in the past, so i was not pleased with the conditions. the clubhouse has the best burgers in town.
