Good course

Everything was great.
A little strange layout quirk from 12 to 15, had a lo g drive on the cart through areas that look like you are leaving the property, and could be marked better. But this gets you back to a very cool par 3 overlooking the ocean.
Overall the course was very nice. Really enjoyed my round.
Lost a few balls that I didn't feel like I should because they settle down in the grass off the fairway and disappear.

No Sand

No sand in the Sand traps. No restroom on back nine. Found out I could get great rates because I was staying at the Hyatt. Half of want it cost thru Golf now. Played this course in the past. Loved the four holes by the water. Disappointed in condition of traps.

Not worth the high price

The course is in decent shape, except the bunkers are bad, and several of the old hole locations were not well repaired. There is no way it is worth $178. $60 would be more appropriate. It is a championship style course, but the holes are different enough to keep one interested. I enjoyed playing it except for the bunkers. The staff was great.

Great Cours

I was completely awed by the course and the personnel there. The course was beautiful, challenging and fun. The staff was gracious and helpful and very nice. I enjoyed my time there immensely. There is a hole on the back nine that is a par three that abuts right next to the ocean. The only thought I had was, after hitting my tee shot about 8 feet from the pin, it doesn't get any better than this. and i was right, it was my only par of the day. The only complaint that I have is that at around $180 I felt the price was a little steep. I would play it again but not if the price is that high. Other than that golfers, this one should be one your bucket list.

Do Not Waste Your Money

Booked on Golf Now for $88 per player. I wouldn't play this course again if it were free! The course is very poorly marked. No monuments at the tee box to show you where you are playing to. We were actually chased by a small dog going from 10 to 11 who then defacated on the tee box. The golf course is in pretty rough shape although the greens were fairly decent. The one redeeming factor of this course is the view of the Atlantic Ocean from the 11th green. This IS NOT a good golf course!!!

Awesome round of golf!!

Great course conditions tee to green, bunkers were a bit hard but then again we are going through a drought, pace of play was a bit slow towards the turn, I was playing solo and had a foursome in front of me that did not let me play through. All in all excellent experience, will definitely play again.

Course was in good shape. No gps on carts, cart girl only takes credit card. Course is very poorly marked. No lay-out of the hole any where, not even on score card.

fun course in PR

We booked through golfnow for $88.00 (originally $165.00) online at the course. The course staff was awesome and super friendly and the facility and staff were definitely 5 star. The course it self was beautiful with fantastic views. I was a little disappointed that there was only 1 ocean view hole and it appeared that there were more based on the map of the course.
Overall the course was in good condition. Fairways and tee boxes were in good condition. The greens were in average condition. Definitely worth the price at $88 but I would be hesitant to play it again at $165.00

Fine Golf in PR.

My wife and I played this course on a Saturday at 1:00. We finished within 4 hours and did not feel rushed. The course was in good shape, and staff was very friendly. The Pineapple course is considered harder than the Sugar, but if you can avoid the traps your round should be fine as there was standing water in a couple. Sand traps were very hard which cost me 6 strokes. Layout is great including a par 3 on the ocean. About a 35 min. drive from Condado Beach. Will be back. Found great rate on Golfnow.

Purchases on Course

The course does not accept Discover nor do they accept cash for on the course cart attendant. Wrote down account number of your credit card and not ever receiving a receipt. Very shady and very skeptical of this practice. Otherwise GREAT course and experience

A great day of Golf!

This course was amazing! You have your choice of 3 courses. I played the sugarcane course which was in excellent condition even after a day of heavy rain. Played with good folks and to make it even better the drink cart was on top of their game- every other hole they were there to serve a nice cold drink. I will certainly recommend for anyone visiting PR and looking for a luxury day of golf to visit Dorado club. It's worth every dollar.

Decent course, but fees can have you scratching your head

Overall, the course was pretty decent. I went on a twilight rate ($60), and didn't see many other golfers (less than 5) on the course. It also rained earlier in the day and as I finished the front 9. The staff was nice enough, but I was disappointed in the cost they charged for my wife to ride with me ($28). I know that sometimes a fee is associated for a rider, but at the same time she didn't even swing a golf club. Seeing that I was on vacation, I also rented clubs - they were a pretty nice set. What wasn't nice was the $45 dollar club rental and the $30 dollar cost for golf balls that staff said were "a part of the rental club deal". It cost more to rent clubs than to play the course. To go even further, they give you two sleeves (yes, six balls) for that $30 dollar cost. That is silly in my book. Not saying its a no go course, but they definitely get two thumbs down from me.

Hole #12

Not great course for 150 bucks. Greens were dried out and needed to be cut, also greens very small. Strange layout and not well marked. Shouldn't loose many balls cuz not a lot of trouble out there. Fairways are somewhat narrow for a resort course. Having said all that the view on number 12 is phenomenal! I could have just sat on the green and looked out at the water all day. Never played pebble beach but seen it on tv and that's what the view brought to mind.

Celebrity sighting

Played the Sugarcane course, not Pineapple, the starter recommendation because the greens had been aerated. Very nice resort, surrounded by houses, trees, and water. Highlight was meeting Chi Chi Rodriquez and getting a picture with him. Lots of sand, very fluffy, tough to get out of for someone from the Midwest.

good warm up course

Course is not worth paying full price for but i got it for $100 so it was worth it. next time i would do twilight and pay only $60 and it would definitely be a great value. course is not extremely long but with the trade winds it does make a lot of the holes play much longer than the yardage. GPS app on my phone made it much easier than looking for yardage markers but GPS in carts would be a nice upgrade. course could use a little TLC but overall was a fun experience. Club house was Awesome and so was staff.

1 hole overlooking water

They said that this course has multiple holes overlooking ocean , in reality it was only the par 3 eleventh hole . But it did have a great view of ocean. But the vacant hotel was an eyesore .
