Panama Country Club
About
Panama Country Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway along the Gulf of Mexico. Donald Ross designed the golf course in 1927. Eight of the holes still reflect his original work. The fairways range in size from narrow to medium width and they are strategically routed through the natural features of the environment, not only preserving them but also allowing them to come into play. The course is mostly flat, making it pleasant to walk, but there are a few subtle contours that provide a challenging element to the layout. A number of holes also feature water hazards. The small greens play fast, indicative of the era in which they were built. Panama Country Club's greens are in consistently good condition year-round thanks to a 2005 resurfacing project.

Course is in good shape
They are doing a lot of work on the course. It’s getting better every time we go. It was extremely windy and there’s not as many trees to break the wind which made the game challenging.
Too bad about Michael
My wife and I played it today, would have really liked to have seen/played before Michael. On the plus side staff and beverage cart girl were great. We also got paired up with a couple of great guys.
hurricane survivor
this course was savaged by hurricane winds but it is coming back. the greens are.nice and the fairways are good as well. no trees left in roughs. I enjoyed playing here and met some other golfers.
Nice country course
Always enjoy playing here. It’s a bit different without trees but it’s still a nice course. They are doing a lot of work to improve the course since the hurricane
Will return
Nice course considering the damage from the hurricane. Staff were very nice. We will come back.
Different course
The hurricane changed this 180 degrees. No trees, jyst an easy wide open layout. Great for mid to high handicap. Fairways and greens are very good.
Unfortunate all the tree damage the hurricane did
Tees, fairways, greens and bunkers were in great shape. Layout was good but looks like 90% of the trees were lost. Would be nice to see them move to a links style course and out waste areas in where the trees were to add some character to the course.
Panama City CC
Decent little course just north of Panama City Beach. Course was in pretty good condition as far as the turf was concerned. Green are concrete-firm and there is little tough to save you if you aren’t hitting them in the fairway. Limited amenities like clubhouse/driving range. Lacking clubhouse due to continued rebuilding from big hurricane 2 years ago.
Great condition considering
Great place to play it’s still in rough post hurricane condition but still plays fairly well!
Great course still recovering from Hurricane Michael
This is a great course that is honestly in solid shape for what it’s been through. The greens were in great condition, as were most of the fairways and tee boxes. They are still doing a lot of work. Tons of downed trees and bare trees, a lot of the growth between holes is more or less mulch, and the club house is closed for repair. It was a good round of golf for a decent price. Not a very challenging course, but an enjoyable area. You can tell they are trying to bring the course back. It is definitely not the most scenic course at the moment, but it is not the fault of the course management. Excited to see their improvements next year!
a real gem
Excellent course can’t wait to play the course again
Greens Read True
Green speeds were slow, however they rolled true to the read.
Not worth it
The course is not what you see online. Trees are all gone. Makes for a crappy links course. No clubhouse, no food, no drinks. Paid almost 100 dollars for round, isn't worth 30
Will be a great course again!
Pretty sad to see all the hurricane devastation around this course. The price to golf here reflected that. We enjoyed the course and plan to play there again!
