About
Panama Country Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway along the Gulf of Mexico. Donald Ross designed the golf course in 1927. Eight of the holes still reflect his original work. The fairways range in size from narrow to medium width and they are strategically routed through the natural features of the environment, not only preserving them but also allowing them to come into play. The course is mostly flat, making it pleasant to walk, but there are a few subtle contours that provide a challenging element to the layout. A number of holes also feature water hazards. The small greens play fast, indicative of the era in which they were built. Panama Country Club's greens are in consistently good condition year-round thanks to a 2005 resurfacing project.

Aerated Greens...
The Pro Shop people were not very welcoming...the greens were aerated and top dressed, sand was heavy in some areas...fairways were wet and muddy in places but the greens were rock hard.
I was disappointed in this Donald Ross Course.
Panama Country Club
We got this on a Hot Deal. We found the course to be in good shape and challenging for us average golfers. The Staff was friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our round, and would recommend it to others.
Below Average
Panama Country Club did not live up to its past ratings on GolfNow. I soon got tired of hitting off bare ground and putting on sanded greens. I asked when I checked in if the course was in good condition and was told it was. It was far from acceptable condition and I will not play it again. There are too many other area courses that are are superior.
Bend it
Good fun course, it helps if you can shape shots around the course. I definitely recommend
Great Layout
Good deal of $45 incl lunch. Good greens average fairways. No ranger or starter. Early group very slow and backed up whole course. At the 17th a par 3 there were 4 groups at one time Unacceptable!
Good layout and mix of hard and moderate challenges. Course marshalling could help pace of play.
Slow play
Took 4hr 55mins to play.Played behind a fivesome and at one time looked across to one green and saw 6 playing that hole.Along with greens that played like there was a concrete base under them.The members can keep that course to themselves because my partner and I won't be back.
TO MANY TEE TIMES BOOKED
THE COURSE SHOULD MOVE BACK TO 10 OR 12 MINUTES APART. 8 MINUTES IS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO ALLOW FOR EACH GROUP. WE AHD 2 GROUPS OF WALKERS IN FRONT OF US AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH BECAUSE THE PLAYERS IN FRONT OF THEM WERE BACKED UP. WE HAD 4 GROUPS ON HOLE # 6 AND IT HELD EVERYONE UP 15 MINUTES. JUST TO MANY PLAYERS ON A GOOD DAY.
Good value for the price
Value for the price; practice balls included and meal included between 11h00 AM and 3h00 PM. Greens in excellent condition (rapid).
Great Layout
As always, PCC has a variety of holes that are all different. Some holes are challenging and some a little easier. But a fun course that will challenge you.
Good golf course great value
This is the first time I played this course this year. It was in very good shape for the cold weather we have had. New greens, hard and fast. Great day.
Great Day!
I really enjoyed playing this course for the first time. The greens were in great shape and very fast. Most of the fairways were very good except one or two that had some dead spots. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. It's a great value and I look forward to playing it again.
overall for winter good
Nice to paly on this course. It was enjoyable for our family. There was some kids going all over the course playing that should not have been on the course. There was no marshall to stop these kids. That was our only dislike.
Panama country day
We enjoyed the course the greens had been top dressed and had a lot of sand on the greens.
Golf course by the bay
Fee came with a cart and lunch. Grass was dormant this time of year . Fairways were in good shape and traps wrre excellent. Layout was nice since you only saw the hole that you wete plsying. Green were recently vetticut and greens were also sanded greens were smooth putting but very hard . Pro shop mentioned that grrens wrre just replaced two months ago.
