Beautiful Day and Great Course
After all this rainy weather it was great to play a course that was dry and in great condition.
Usually a great time - Love the Course
We played at 11:10 on 3/16. Usually, even during frost delay we start on time. When we arrive, we were told they were 15 behind. Once we tee’d off the started came to the first tee as we were taking off and start that there was going to be a backup on the next few holes and recommended us to play slow and take out time. Evidently, the was a shotgun tournament that started on the back and the from side teetimes were not reserved for them making the turn. Well the stack up cause a 5.5 hour round. Very disappointing golf with foursomes on the same hole. Once I arrived on #2, I wish I would have existed and ask for a refund. The good news is that I’ve never experience that over all the rounds I’ve ever played.
Lincoln Hills is a great place to golf in the winter
I wish Lincoln Hills was a little bit closer to my home but when you’re tired of cart path only at all the other golf courses, you can almost always go to Lincoln Hills and worst case it’ll be the 90° rule. Exceptional drainage; will still be a little bit wet, but overall the courses in great shape even after lots of rain.
Pleasant Winter Golfing
Although I would never golf here in the summer, it was wonderful in the winter! The single biggest thing they could do to improve their signage for first-time users!. We finally found the bag drop after driving all over the parking lot. The first tee did not have a forward-most tee-box, but all the others did.
The direction to each new tee was very confusing. We couldn’t even find our way back to the clubhouse when we finally came off the course after the 13th hole (too dark to play anymore). There are NO facilities between the 9th & the 10th holes, for food or drink. Why is it so difficult for a golf course to clearly mark tee boxes & hole numbers???
We enjoyed the course despite these distractions & vexations.
Leisurely day on the course
i was a single out on a very busy day but did not mind the occasional bunching up as this was my first time out in nearly two months. Greens were in excellent shape, as were the bunkers, but luckily, I did not experience any sand. Carts have GPS, but only to keep carts in designated areas; there is no GPS info available for players to help with club selection or strategy so who cares.
Busy course
We played Wednesday afternoon but the course was busy. (It’s in a retirement community). We joined a nice and friendly twosome which was fun. People were nice, but I play on weekdays so that I don’t have to wait at every hole. A lot of Geese and their output on a few holes!!
No Club House
Bar/Restaurant was closed. No warning of this given when I reserved the tee time
The Hills
It was a good time but pricey for what the course offers. I’ll play again if I can find a discounted price!
Save your 75$
This course used to be great but due to a buyout with a botched course remodel, Lincoln Hills is in horrendous condition, filled with dead spots, weeds, and a 5+ hour round on average I recommend going somewhere else.
LIncoln Hills - Hills Course
Course was in great shape! Fun layout, with challenging greens and bunker locations.
Good value using Hot Deal (only)
First off, I'll mention the overall facility & staff are wonderful. But if I played w/out the Hot Deal (about 1/2 off or so) I would be disappointed for 3 things. To begin with, I couldn't temporally replace the rubber tee on the driving range matts. The matt must be glued in. The rubber tee was about 2 1/2 inches high. I wanted to use my own which allows me to place a normal size tee in as I wish to practice my shots. Maybe I couldn't step forward into the grass since no one was. Wasn't going to be the guy to be squawked at. Next, the fairways. Loaded w/ crabgrass & over watered. The other, although told they were doing fine were the greens after 3 weeks ago having been punched. They will be great in a couple more weeks, but they still need some time. Should have been told they still have punch holes that catch your ball in the row and holds it there. Real bummer. I'll be back, must be a deal though (because of the fairways) but much longer after the punch or surely before. Hope this helps!
Course was very wet.
I understand with the heat they have to over water but dang it was wet. No roll on fairways and had to pick and clean alot. Grass around the bunker elimination and upgrade is awful. Greens are in good shape.
Day out on The Hills Course, Sun City Lincoln
Great course. Good layout. Pro shop is very friendly. Too many groups out close together made pace of play very slow. Barely saw the cart person. Would be great to have some sort of food on the course other than chips and candy.
Woodcreek Golf course
Condition of course was poor overall. A lot of bald spots near the greens and in fairway. Traps were disgusting. Like they haven’t added sand or groomed them since Covid.
Woman working in the dining area was rude.
Not a great experience
Pace of play
No complaints about the course it's self. The only problem was with the pace of play during busy time of the day. More play especially beginners need to learn to place "Ready Golf", and limit the time to look for lost balls.
It also seems there is a lack of etiquette when playing. I see a lot of ballmarks on the green, bunkers not ranked and divots not filled in. To me, that's all part of the game and courtesy to the players behind you. I may sound like a , "Ken", but I love playing and having a few beers like a lot of you, but we can not forget the small shuff that makes this game fun. Make one ballmarks fix two.
