Moorpark Country Club - The Ridgeline Golf Course

Always enjoy playing this course. Great course and nice staff!

I enjoy a quick round of golf and we tee'd off at 7:30 AM played it in 3:30 , we were a twosome but what I didn't like was that I didn't get to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding, also the range was closed so no real warm up , especially when your not familiar with the course . But I did get a good deal on golfnow .

Great course. Overall in very good shape, thought he greens little slow due to recent punch a couple weeks ago. Highly recomnend.

The layout was great, the weather was spectacular, and the course itself was challenging. You can't really beat the value for the money, and the amenities/staff were wonderful. My only gripe was the pace of play. I couldn't tell if they were stacking groups too close, or the groups themselves were slow (I think the latter). No marshals out to enforce which was part of the problem. Other than that, it was great!

For a public course this is a nice place to play. If they had a bag drop that is attended, someone to clean your clubs and load them into your car that would make the experience nicer.

Good selection of tee boxes for every level of player. Course a llttle on the wet side but overall great time and layout

Everything was great but the pace of play. I got stuck behind a foursome that was literally taking 5 minutes each to line up 6 inch putts.

Onshore flow kept things pleasant and demanding.
Club selection is a premium.

Played the Blues on the Canyon Crest/Creekside combo (6506/71.0/130) on a Golf Now Hot Deal. Was matched up with Arly, Ryan & Chris, all nice guys to play with. POP was excellent, 4H in mid 60's, calm, overcast conditions.

The tees were mostly level & lush with few unfixed divots.

The fairways were decent and had good coverage, maybe 50-50 thin/lush.

The rough was mostly lush with occasional hardpan or thin lies.

the traps were well maintained with nice sand.

The greens putted nice, medium fast, firm but still held approach shots well.

The customer service was excellent, they got me right out. The starter was really managing the course and the cart person was around a couple of times, a rarity on a weekday morning. They also have a nice restaurant onsite.

Moorpark is a really challenging track, one of the nicer and more expensive public courses in Ventura County. Most holes have hazards down one or both sides. Many holes have elevation changes and forced carries over hazards, this is not a course for beginners. All 3 nines are VERY unforgiving on crooked shots, you can accumulate penalty shots in bunches here if you are more than about 10 yards left or right of almost any fairway. If you want to be challenged, this is a very picturesque course that is usually not super crowded. Definitely recommended.

The course was in beautiful condition and the pace was great, didn't have to wait on anybody and nobody rushing us.

Hands down for the money best course you'll play in Southern Cal not too far from LAX this course is Lighting fast greens firm but lush fairways and it is FAIR the staff was incredible especially the starter make sure to get a breakfast burrito. Driving range and putting green is first class My only regret was not playing more

This is my second time playing the course. Although the fairways are a bit spotty but it is understandable due to the California draught. Will definitely go back again.

I've played Moorpark about 10-15 times at this point and would call it my go to course in the LA area. Whenever friends come out I take them here as the course and views are always fantastic.
The course is challenging but also gives opportunity to put up a good score.

A MUST play course! I knew as I booking my round I was getting a great value at $35 twilight rate for country club golf but when I got there and played the course for the first time I'd say this was probably the BEST value I've ever had and I've played a ton of golf in my lifetime!
