Great course for the money.
Love the new golf carts! Some of the greens need some work, but others are very nice.
Good for the money but not challenging
City owned course that is good to play for the money but not extremely challenging - there are a few good holes but overall is very forgiving and not a lot of trouble. The course is having some trouble with the greens (temp green on #1 and bare spotting throughout ~10 others). If you are looking for a challenge, don't go here or Cranes Creek (both City courses) but instead visit Habitat or Walkabout. If you just want to hit the ball around, this is a good course to visit. Staff (Jeff is he Course Pro) was VERY friendly and great.
My favorite local course
Greens were rough at the time but really like the layout of this course.
Great value for what you get.
Some greens need some help and some staff should be a lot friendlier.
Good Course
Pretty well maintained and open course. Enjoyed the day.
This is a very good municipal course
I play here often and since I started using Golf Now its easy to get the tee times I want when I want them.
a great value
after struggling with green and fariway issues throughout the spring, this course is now in excellent shape. Like all east central florida courses, when it rains it takes a couple dry days to get rid of the water. But for the Golf Now price, can't be beat.
Great for a municiple course
This course has a very fun layout! It was in very nice shape for a municiple course. Everyone friendly. Enjoyed playing. I would go again!
A good course to practice at. Sometimes you can go out alone and practice those shots you need to practice! at around $25.00
A good Municipal course. The greens are in ok shape as is the rest of the course. It can play long in the wind and will provide a challenge because of the length that is needed, more so then the design of the course itself. I play this course often midweek because of the ability to practice with out the next group pushing you.
Terrible conditions
As a area resident I was dismayed on the poor conditions Mallards Landing was in. I have played here for 18 years on and off. The greens where terrible with ungrown areas and dirt and I am not talking a little here. The City needs to investigate what happened and return the course to where someone wants to play. This would not be myself or my group. Really was a waste of my money.
An older, Public , well maintained course with a very friendly accomodating staff.
I had a 7am T-time. we where the 2nd group off the tee, allowing us to play in just over three hours. The well maintained fairways are a bit wider, thus more forgiving. Most of the greens have a break of more than an inch or two and are in relatively good condition for a muncipal course. There are a few water hazards. If you play your limitations, you can get arround or over them.
This is a walkable 18 hole course. In fact the 1st group off the tee at 6:52 was a walking 3some, playing ready golf and did not hold us up. I found with a acceptable drive using a 3 Wood or Hybred Iron, I would use one more Hybred shot and then my short game to the greens. The course was enjoyable to play.
