Breathe taking.
Spessard is the most beautiful course in Brevard County! It is challenging but well worth the effort.
Great layout striking views.
Have played Spessard many times and it is always a good experience. Conditions are great, the greens smooth ( if a tad slow), and overall fine. It's amazing considering the dry winter/spring that we've had. Only downside was two couples in front of us with one of the men constantly giving his partner a 'lesson'. Made for a very slow round, for this course, of 4+ hours. Otherwise I would highly recommend Spessard.

I love the lay out of this course. I don't hit the ball as far as I used to, so the shorter course let's me score better. The greens were awesome as always. The fairways we're pretty bare, but we have had such litter rain most all courses we have played are bare.

Delightful Course
Spessard Holland is a great mid-distance course which has some surprising challenges. There are enough holes on water to keep you alert and compel you to use strategy in order to par. The conditions are generally regulated by the winds as the course is on a thin stretch of land between the Atlantic and the Indian River Lagoon. On some holes you will need to play at least two clubs down to adjust to the wind. The greens are fast on hot days and well kept. The fairways are in very good shape and most often you will find a good lie for your iron shots. I found the staff very friendly and have only good things to say about the folks who work there. The 19th hole is spartan but has enough to keep you refreshed. Overall, a great experience. Thank you to the staff!

Beautiful views
This course has a great location. Beautiful views from most every hole. Fairways are fast. Pace of play is good, very little waiting. Staff is friendly. Did not eat or go to bar this time. Have before staff is quick and courteous. Carts are smooth.

A good short game course
The tee box are some spots, fairway are average some are spotty here and there. The green are good but a little slow rolling. I call it playable golf course.

FUN EXECUTIVE COURSE
Spessard Holland gc is a fun place to play golf. It's not a long course but still requires golf skills. I think you will find this course fun for all ages and skill levels.

I used to like playing here but
When you book online you get hit with a service charge. If you call to speak with a customer you get a price for 9 the same as the 28 online for 3 o'clock onward. They know of the descripency but have not addressed it.
Also when we were on the 15th hole the ranger came by and said we had to have the carts back by 7. We were only 2 golfers being held up by golfers in front of us.

Good Condition
The course was in pretty good condition! Greens were very nice, soft enough to hold shots, rolled true.
The course is relatively short (par 67), but it's tight and is no easy round.
I highly recommend the course.

Hot day golfing
A beautiful day near the ocean. Breezes from the Atlantic made the course bearable on a stifling hot day. Would like to see another par 5.

Tight but pretty
A tight and challenging course that requires you to think shots ahead. Plenty of water that adds to the challenge but the beauty as well. Wildlife on the course was varied and interesting.

Great short 18 hole course
We played there 2 days in a row and found the course and greens in excellent. That made our decision to go back a second time instead of seeking out a different course. No regrets. The greens are fast with no ball marks. The staff was friendly and each day they told us to go out early if we were ready. There was some slow play but a foursome let us through. The views are awesome. If we come to Melbourne again we would play that course.

The course is not well signed, it was hard to find the diferent holes and the fairways are to narow so that is dageros to be hit from a balls.

Slow play
Weekend play very slow. Need Rangers. The greens seemed a little slower than usual. Overall not bad but won't
Play on weekends.
Nice course, if you have 5 hours to play.
Great course, good shape with nice staff.
Multiple times I have experienced slow play to the point of 8 carts waiting on 1 hole. There is no course marshall to encourage a reasonable pace of play. Forget about playing on any weekend unless you have incredible patience.
The staff just shrugs when I mention the concern.

With all those new golfers,we did indeed get backed up on some days. We do have staff that patrols the course but it sounds like we missed a few opportunities when you played. Back nine was just too slow.
We caught up to two guys who just seemed like they were the only two guys on the course. The guy and lady right in front of us tried to move along but to no good. Liked the course but slow players make it hard to keep a pace. Thanks, Jerry

The pace of play was so slow on 3/4/17 that I left the course on hole 16 because of it. Sad. No Rangers, they do not care once they get your money.
