Great views
This course is great a little challenging but a must play. They had just aerated the greens the week before really bad condition obviously once that’s done the course will be very nice. Week day rounds for only $49 great value views of multi million dollar houses and the hills. Pace of play was a bit slow after the turn, but that seems like about everywhere these days.
Tough & Fun Track, but slow
This layout is tough yet fun to play. Set on a hillside, there’s plenty of elevation changes throughout the entire course. Course runs north/south with the slope so there’s no real awkward stance and remaining in the fairway if you hit it is almost guaranteed. With that said if you miss your shot to the side it’s pretty much gone.
Greens are a great balance between challenging yet very playable. They roll smooth at a perfect medium fast pace. What isn’t fast is the pace of play. 5 hours for a late afternoon mid week round
Other than that it’s a great course with great service
pace of play in back9
too slow play in back nine. there is no marshal around at all.
Best Place in the area
Callippe is a sweat Course to play.
Come early and practice your game before the course. Good food at the clubhouse
Putting a challenge on most greens
Beautiful course, very good conditions
This is a fun course and it’s in good condition for mid-February. All the holes are fun to play except #11 which is unduly uphill!
Challenging but Fun
It’s been a while since I’ve played here but I always enjoy this layout. Naturally with all the rain the fairways are still damp and it’s cart path only. Still the course was playable and enjoyable.
I played in the afternoon and the back nine got really backed up so we opted to play the front nine twice. Greens initially rolled smooth at a medium fast pace. By late afternoon they were a bit bumpy and had slowed down some.
Highly recommended
Pace of play
It’s crazy to have a 7:10 tee time and finish at 12:25. Pace of play was not upheld and it was a very long round. Would love to play this course again but this is the second 5 + hour round when having an early tee time.
Longest 18 holes ever
We had to tee off 15 min late because they were backed up and then we proceeded to play a round that took over 5 hours. We had to wait for every single shot. It's a nice course, but man they need to do something about pace of play.
Excellent Course with Somewhat challenging conditions
This course is wonderful to play as always. The architecture is interesting and challenging. There are always areas in the back 9 where the drainage isn't the best, and thus the fairway is always muddy. Other than that particular detail, the course is a pleasure to play.
