Course is in very good condition. Greens are quick and smooth. Pace was great but I was by myself and it was very hot. All in all a very good round.
Very poor condition
The greens and fairways are in very poor condition particularly on the front nine. Even at $30 for 18 holes, I did not feel that this was a good value given the very poor condition of the course.
Poor golf course
Weeds on the fairways very poor conditions. I played there 3 months ago and conditions where not that poor. Some greens where extremely bad,you would consider them two put greens.
New restaurant, same old poor conditions.
The fairways and greens are in terrible condition with the exception of maybe 3 greens. They have a bad fungal problem on the greens and the fairways are either hard clay or overgrown weeds. Although they have a nice new restaurant, not once did a beverage cart come around the course on a Saturday. They also do not have any restrooms on the course. I was supposed to play a charity tournament here in 2 weeks but I unfortunately have decided not to play it because the conditions are just too poor.
Supposedly the greens were infected by some sort of algae that rotted them. Pretty much made 50% of them unputtable. Other than that it’s a fun course to play with several drivable par 4s. And short dog leg par 5s.
Front 9 challenging with a lot of water Hazard but wide fairways; tees and greens in good condition-greens tendency slow. Back 9 tighter with average fairways-tees and greens average to good conditions but greens still slow. Made my round in less than 3 hours without Packing. Rented Clubs (30 bugs) and liked them-no Fairwoods and ended 6 Iron...
Course is in Terrible condition
The staff was friendly and the restaurant they built is nice but the course is the absolute worst in Miami. If you're trying to save a few dollars and pkay $40 on a weekend it's not worth it the course sucks. You're better off staying home and playing with yourself.
Sorry but the course resembled an uncared for horse pasture. Greens had not been fertilized for years. Big brown patches with no grass. $5 would be to much to pay for this pathetic course. I’m surprised they are allowed to advertise on golf now.
quirky little dump...walkable..one awful green..the rest were ok..don't pay or expect much...but definitely a place you can play with friends and have a great time..very little pressure
Not the best Golf course you will ever play. I shot round in under three hours as a single. Course was pretty empty. The fairways are a bit rough, but otherwise playable. The holes are quirky and quite interesting with some narrow fairways. Greens were ok. Long wayward hitters will struggle. The $35 rate was no bargain. There are better value places to be found on Golfnow. I will play here again but not on my regular Miami loop. Worth playing to check it out if in the Miami area.
Rough fairways, some nice greens
This course was a mixed bag. Some of the greens had large rough patches and some were fantastic. Most of the fairways were really bumpy, and full of weeds and bare spots. But the most annoying thing was the fact that the very nice girl driving the beverage cart did not have any good snacks. Only granola bars and nuts. No chips or candy or real food, like sandwiches. Also, there is no starter, so once you pay your greens fee, it’s first come, first teeing off. Which is not a bad thing.
Good course for the value
Good course for the value. Average width fairways. Some fairways and greens need some work. Plenty of water and sand traps. I will play again.
THIS COURSE HAS SEVERAL CHALLENGING HOLES
THIS GOLF COURSE IS GREAT FOR PRACTICING YOUR SHOTS. IT IS USUALLY VERY BUSY ON WEEKENDS, BUT IT ISN'T SLOW PLAY. PLAYERS ARE FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS AT MOST TIMES.
Course was in decent shape, Newly remolded club house and a new restaurant, does not really offer any quick items when making the turn. No hot dogs, crackers, something quick to turn and keep going.
Great value, so so conditions
I booked a deal on GolfNow for $28. I don’t think I would pay more to play on this course. The fairways are starting to get overtaken by weeds. Some of the greens were in bad condition and some were in decent condition. I would rank this course below Micosukee. It is a good course for beginners and intermediate players. The pace of play was amazing. I played as a single and finished in less than 3 hours. Most holes have housing next to them, so if you’re slice or hook a lot beware. The greens are grainy and roll slow so don’t be afraid to give your putts extra oomph.
I play Killian frequently as it is very close to my home. The layout is very good, though I wish they would reverse the nines as the first four holes are the toughest on the course. I love that you can walk and the conditions are improving slowly but surely. They have sand in the traps, the greens are mostly good, and I saw that they finally are fixing some of the bad tee boxes. A little more work and this could be a very nice course.
I had heard mixed reviews about this golf course, but it didnt discourage me from going over to check it out. The employees were great, the carts were in good condition, the course was well maintained and the prices were the best out there. I will be returning!
