Trump National Doral Miami - Silver Fox Course
About
The Silver Fox Course (formerly known as Jim McLean Course) is one of five 18-hole courses at Trump National Doral Miami. The courses offer a good game for players of any skill level. Unlike the Gold Course at the resort, the Silver Fox Course does not follow a traditional Floridian layout. There are elevated tee boxes and greens and narrow, rolling fairways. The golf course features an interesting variety of holes, short and long. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes of the 18 holes and there are also bunkers situated throughout. The course's signature hole is the 14th, which has an island green.

Save your money and play a real course
The biggest let down I've ever had... Just an awful and pretentious experience. I'm no stranger to theatrics of wealth on golf courses but this place takes the cake. Most expensive round I've ever played just to have nearly zero amenities on course. First off, the course is in Miami and there is NO WATER ON THE COURSE, this is maybe the cheapest and most idiotic measure I've ever seen. The club is particularly money hungry, scheduling tee times when there is no way the round could be completed(e.g. 4:40pm Tee time when sunset is at 6:20pm)... and of course they don't accept a raincheck of any kind during this scenario. The course itself is easy, short and lacks any creativity. Oh and don't forget all the random people who walk on the course to enjoy their day at your expense, truly unbelievable. If you have played this course and enjoyed your experience, you are genuinely a sucker and a massive one at that. This establishment represents all that is wrong with golf. Golfers just want to get on and play when its a gorgeous day outside, not be encumbered by baseless theatrics and boring old men who think they're better than everyone else while they play their 12 hour round for $500. Come to Tennessee where we know how to take care of our golf courses AND customers.
Solid course, but not worth the price
This is a good golf course, well maintained, but not really exceptional. Many better choices for the price paid—you are paying for the Trump label, and not much more. Cart service came by once during the round, and pace of play was fine—until we caught a foursome that was struggling.
Nice clubhouse and friendly staff.
Hidden Gem
We were pleasantly surprised. It was quite a long cart ride to this course from the beautiful clubhouse. It took us almost 10 minutes to get to the first tee so leave a little extra time. The course has a great layout but it is a bit tight. Nice amount of water and sand kept it challenging. Great greens! A worthwhile investment.
Great Golf Resort
I played the Silver Course at a fabulous Golf Now price. The Silver is not their best course. Staff is amazing.
Pace of play was very slow, so I quit after 13 holes. Sadly, the course is so poorly marked and it took 45 minutes for me to find my way back to the clubhouse.
My biggest complaint is parking: $32 plus tip of $37. That is just too much to pay to park.
Silver Fox golf course
We had a great time, golf course is well maintained and fairways are unbelievable smooth.
Billy H
Good course in excellent condition with friendly and professional staff.
Pace of play good until 4 ball refused to allow our 2 ball through so missed a hole and moved on.
Issue with 3 teenagers entering the course and playing the 14 th using their own clubs, then started hitting balls off the green taking divots. Not what you expect from a premier golf resort. Security required in this area of the course.
Spoiled another wise enjoyable round.
Great Golf
We chose this course to play a better course than a few other courses in the area that we were not impressed with. The Trimp couses and facilities are top notch and given we found a good rate , we were very pleased with course conditions an the Champions Clubhouse after the round. Would not hesitate to come back.
Appropriate for all skills
Doral is great. Range included. Chipping practice area perfect. Fox is a little bit away from clubhouse but layout and variety of tees perfect for all. It's not the blue monster but it's great value around South Florida.
