Costa Del Sol Golf Club
Just a short distance southwest of the Miami International Airport, the golf course at Costa dels Sol Golf Club is a challenging public course that also boasts scenic views. Although the terrain is mostly flat, this course's difficult comes from the narrow fairways that are lined with trees. The greens are medium sized with some being slightly elevated. Water hazards come into play on the majority of the holes and there are also some sand bunkers as well. The signature hole of the course is the par 3 14th hole, which requires a tee shot past water. Costa del Sol Golf Club also has five long, narrow par 5s as well as some scenic par 3s.

WARNING - Do not waste your money
This course is a complete dumpster fire. Made my 830 tee time early last week. Arrived to be told there were no golf carts for me. I was given a pull cart. I was given no discount on my $55 round. I didn’t mind walking until I saw the course. Every hole was muddy and slogging. A couple holes should be completely shut down because there was huge ponds of rainwater in the middle of the hole, creating a hazard-like area. Tee boxes are in awful shape, dirt and divots, old grass. Fairways were long and covered in weeds. Even drives in the middle of the fairway were not awarded with good lies. Some fairways very muddy. Greens are by far the slowest I’ve ever played. Surprisingly not too patchy, but was basically the length of a standard fringe. To top it all off, there is nothing special about the design of this course. I could only last 9 of my 18 holes before calling it quits.
Even if you were a novice golfer looking for a fun round away from more serious courses, I would steer you away just based on the price. There is way better value in the area. This is maybe a $10/round course at best. $55 is a total rip off. AVOID. I will never be back.
Fairways very good condition, a few rough greens but almost all very nice.
Some narrow fways next to houses and streets. Should have more 20ft tall netting.
Poor Tee Time Management
They double booked morning tee times resulting in an hour and a half delay to our time. Pretty much everyone had to wait 1.5-2 hours for carts with no discount on the rate.
If you have tee times available online with Cart please respect your promise. Arriving on my tee time no carts available NEED TO WAIT ONE HOUR. After 30 minutes waiting not ANY cart available and 10 people still waiting frustrated. if you show up without reservation I understand but you need to respect people booking online.
the course if fine after the remodeling and upgrading the greens, overall is fine, I been playing Costa del Sol for several years, the only disappointment that I have if that they do not offer DISCOUNT FOR VETERANS, I am a Vietnam Veteran and the friends I play with are Vietnam Veterans living on Social security is not easy but we love to play the game, Costa del Sol should have I day a month as the welcome Veterans to play for 50 % of the cost
My congratulations to current administration, they have done a great job in improving every aspect of this course.
Great course. Much improved over the last few months. Great staff. Short but just long enough to make you work for good scores. Real gem in Doral. Prices are reasonable, but give way to a great value to be a member. Lots of tournaments
Saturday scramble 1pm sharp
Costa del sol open
Row vs Rotw
Lots of great people and great golfers
Best price-value corse in doral
I went in the pro shop, and the front desk girl was very welcoming, I came a long time ago to this course, and it has gotten so much better. was amazed with the work they have put in to it, a MUST when you come play in south florida. 5 star rating .
The course have been improved a lot
General speaking, people in Costa Del Sol have invested good money to rise the level of the course. It is in great shape. Most important, people that it is in charge to management are the best. I do recommend to join the groups on Friday, for the stable 4 and on Saturday’s for the scramble games. You will enjoy and have a lot of fun. Come and enjoy the new CDS experience. Great job done guys, congratulations.
Greens were excellent, but the down pours in recent days lead to some flooded fairways and some tall grass.
This rating is during COVID and after the reopening of golf courses. They had a bunch of availability, the rates were fair and the staff was on point with their guidelines.
After fellow golfers mentioning this course was a below average executive course I decide to go with the recent reviews about renovations to the course .
We went with it and it was fine .
It’s a fun course
It’s also a “If you’re in the area kind of course”.
Costa Del Sun Not So Much Fun
The greens were okay. The roughs were typical budget Florida. I don’t know what that was in the fairways, but it wasn’t grass. Many holes border highways, such that a wayward drive could demolish a windshield or slay a motorcyclist. Lots of water in play, not always apparent, Best thing about the course is the price.
The scorecard shows three tees — blue, white, and red. Only a couple of holes have red tee markers, but all have orange markers.
What an improvement
Played this course a couple of years ago and it really wasn’t fun. Recently played after a few years and wow. Greens and tees are in great shape, best i’ve seen here. Difficult course but nice and only getting better.
