Excellent Conditions

This was a great course to play with some spectacular views. Very fair course with holes playing into the wind off the ocean playing very difficult! The bartender and all the staff were very friendly. It is a little expensive but overall a really fun place to play!

The home of golf in the Cayman Islands

It may not be a world-beater, but only the most curmudgeonly golfer would complain about a round at North Sound. The flattish, mostly open course lays out in two stringy loops from the pleasant clubhouse. It's not going to beat you up, but if you do make some big numbers, chances are they'll come on the par 3s, which amp up the challenge. The toughest of them is the long 11th, which heads straight to the edge of the Great Sound, dead into the teeth of the prevailing wind. The arresting beauty of the hole makes up for the fact that you might be hitting as much as a 3 wood to try and get on the green.

North Sound's Paspalum greens are in good shape, and the turf tends to be firm and bouncy in the dry winter season. The clubhouse has a very relaxed and welcoming feel; sip a drink on the covered patio before you leave. Grand Cayman is not at the top of anyone's list of the most sought-after Caribbean golf destinations, but if you find yourself here with time to tee it up, you will enjoy it.

Great course to play. Relaxing and beautifull

My husband and I played this 18 hole course over the xmas holidays Dec 2014. The course was very nice and fun to play. The staff at this place is so great. My husband and I consolidate our clubs into one bag for travel and they were super helpful in lending me a bag to play. We played this course twice on our trip. It is very affordable and we got a deal because we were staying at the Sunshine Suites. This is the only 18 hole course on Grand Cayman. The course was in good shape. Lots of iguanas and chickens everywhere which was super cool. The pace of play was fine. I definitely recommend playing here at least once.
