Cariari Country Club
Cariari Country Club takes its moniker from the indigenous name for the land on which it sits in the modern-day Puerto Limon area, found by Spaniards more than 500 years ago. Christopher Columbus himself stayed in the region for three weeks, though the country club didn't open until 1973, meaning you could likely have a more satisfying experience at Cariari than even he did.
A round of golf at Cariari Country Club begins on a 427-yard par 4, where a tree-lined fairway, with out-of-bounds on the right, leads to a green guarded by a sandtrap on the right and an out-of-bounds spot behind. The golf course features three long par 5s: the eighth (499 yards), 12th (513 yards) and 14th (522 yards) holes. Finish up on a par-4, 355-yarder that doglegs right, rolls down a sloping fairway to a river 30 yards before the green, itself well-protected with sand traps; in other words, plot your position at the tee and maintain it all the way in.

Beautiful course, very difficult
Very nice course, very tight fairways, LIGHTNING fast greens. If you're looking for a challenge this is it. Very hilly with tough lies above/below your feet. Overall a very nice course.
