Been hitting foxtail for 23yrs
It's a fun local course, good prices decent pace most days! Awesome staff always treats my daughter great.
North Green South Narrow
The North while more of a championship style course and very green, May in fact be easier than the South? The south is very straight. The north has doglegs. It’s my opinion anyway. And my scores reflect it as a +1 handicap.
I prefer the North but the South offers a wonderful change of pace. Two totally different courses. Great par 3 on both. Nice vistas all day on North and on back nine of South.
I could play the par 5 all day out here and never be bored. Great 18th on both sides too.
Poor tee boxes and sand traps
Practice range was mats only today. Pro shop and bar personal were spot on and friendly.
South course. Most tee boxes were average in condition.
Greens were good condition.
Traps have crab grass growing in them.
Pace of play got slow on last hole of front nine
Did not play after nine because of poor conditions
Good place to play
It’s really good. I played with my wife and we have a great time
Bunkers for days
Played both sides now. I like the south side better. However my friend loved the north better. He Got a hole in 1/eagle on 16 par3. Stole my thunder on my birthday lol. It is across from the south side. Little sketchy getting to the first hole through a red light on a busy intersection to a lonely guy sitting at a podium who collects your receipt so don’t lose it. The greens were freaking unbelievable. I have only been playing 2 years but been to allot of courses in Northern California the greens are the best there. The rough around the greens were pretty penalizing but you could jump it out good if you hit it clean. Finesse baby
Great course
Best layout in the north bay. Fun course offered an array of different types of holes
Upgrading a bit
Decent course for the money. Some short par 3’s detract. They’ve redid a couple Tess on front side. Greens always quick and pure.
Decent
It was a very good time. But the pace of play was super slow.. it took us 5 hours to finish 18 holes. And it was only 3 of us. Mind you we play pretty fast usually. But it was very decent, course wise. Would love to try out the north course? Not sure if it’s open to the public! But overall I give it a 6.5 out of 10! Great prices for a early morning tee time on a Sunday. 62$
Foxtail South - Quick Round
We were able to book our round last minute and we were a twosome. We got to the course went right out and finished our round in just over three hours which was great. Foxtail South is in average condition it’s not a very exciting layout but it’s a good round if you’re not looking for anything resort like.
Mud pit
It’s rained a lot lately, but it is almost criminal to not alert people that there’s standing water in almost every fairway, and it’s as slippery as ice because it’s so muddy.
Refund please
Hello there!
I booked a reservation at Foxtail North yesterday, 11-25-2021 and wasn't able to play as they had a tournament (shotgun) which I was NOT told about and they also closed at 3 pm. Please call Foxtail to verify that that error was booked to no avail when I got there. You can talk to Matt Anderson. I tried calling you but to no avail.......:(
Thank you and I look forward to a prompt response!
Warm regards ~ Diana :(
Standard Muni South Course
South course is exactly what you would expect from a muni course priced at $30 per round. This second cut roughs, below average tee boxes, muddy conditions with any rain and hard packed unkempt sand traps. I will say that the greens were in decent shape. It's not my first, second or even third choice in the area but it is fine when all other spots are taken.
Great course
The course has friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The greens were fabulous, the fairways a little damp but with the recent rain that was understood.
I would play again
Fox North Nov 2021
A lot of wet spots and large divots where cart had been ridden. Over all, the greens were in pretty good shape.
