Flamingos Club de Golf
About
Opened in 1978, Flamingos Gofl Club was the first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. There are nine water hazards and over 40 bunkers that come into play throughout the golf course. The layout will test your target golf skills and good strategizing will be greatly rewarded, which includes not only your ball placement on the fairways but also proper club selection, especially on the holes that are more affected by the strong coastal breezes.

Flamingos golf day
Great course although we found it quite pricey and a stickler for rules. You must have a golf shirt even the ladies and no sandals, which the shoes was not stated on their website . Other than that had a great time.
I’LL NEVER PLAY HERE AGAIN
Nice Course Layout Bermuda Greens and Fairways So it was definitely a Change Up Considering How Fast All The Greens are in Mexico. Staff friendliness they get an F+ Terrible I’ll Never Spend another Pesso With Them. Refuse to Go into details But I wouldn’t Come Back If The Golf Was For Free. I’m Gonna Leave it at That.
Hills and valleys
Really enjoyed some of the vistas of this course. Course workers and course marshall very friendly.
Much improved
I golfed with two gentlemen who had not played the course for a long time and they were very pleased that it had been much improved from the last time. It was my first time and I thoroughly enjoyed the course layout.
The person checking us in did not come across as friendly.. We rented gold clubs for 850 Pesos. They were old, well worn clubs. Not what we expected.
Average course and conditions. Bunker sand excellent. Course has lots of birds and a huge gator.
I'm staring to really like this course~
I've played this course over the last 5 winters we've spent in Puerto Vallarta. For the value you pay on "Golfnow", the price is great. It' not located in PV, it' little north. The cab fee is 10.00 bucks to get there but they have a mini-van that offers free rides back. Great service!
The course itself is well designed. Most golf courses here are expensive because where they are built, on flat land. Moving dirt is not cheap.. This course is located in more "rugged" terrain so it's more natural.
This course has great value for the price.
It was and exciting course. The greens were a little slow.
My experience
I booked a great deal on golfnow! Happy wih the green fee price but very dissapointed with the price of the rental clubs. $900 pesos and I was given Taylormade M2 clubs but in regular shaft only(asked for stiff shaft but told there wasn't any in left hand). Got no sand wedge or lob wedge with the set. This affected my round by a few shots easy!!! Greens are very very slow, fairways in below avg condition. Course layout is decent. If I come back I would look into one of the higher end courses over this one.
Good Value with Golfnow
Played course previously and found course in good shape and staff very helpful and courteous. Always find course a good value when using one of Golfnow "Hot" rates. Will play again during my stay in PVR!
Great resort course
I played this course with my wife and although she's not a strong player she had no problem getting around the course. We had a great time.
Good value, good course. Can be slow, but not always.
We’ve played the course several times, always teeing off early afternoon. A slow foursome slows it down brutally, and the course can be busy. Usually we get around in good time (yesterday, behind a foursome on a busy afternoon - we were a twosome - we got around in 3 hours 45 minutes. 4 days ago we quit after 9 because the front 9 was 3 hours.
Average Course
Other than the greens, the course was average and only slightly overpriced, like most courses in the PV area. The greens, however, were not very good at all. Very slow and uneven. This was the second time I have played here, with both times the same. I don't intend on returning unless I have no other option.
