Flamingos Club de Golf
About
Opened in 1978, Flamingos Gofl Club was the first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. There are nine water hazards and over 40 bunkers that come into play throughout the golf course. The layout will test your target golf skills and good strategizing will be greatly rewarded, which includes not only your ball placement on the fairways but also proper club selection, especially on the holes that are more affected by the strong coastal breezes.

Bad notification
I played nine hole twice, the back nine was closed for maintenance . I did not know this until I got to the golf course. I would not have played this course if I knew befor hand. Golfnow failed to notified me about this condition. The taxi cab ride cost me $35.00 each way. I was not a happy golfer to see only nine holes open.
Good deal
Played on a hot deal teetime . Course was better than I expected . Fairways are great greens were okay . Not bad for the $40-70 dollar range
Qualité / Prix
Tres bon rapport qualité / prix malgres la température elevé toujours un bonne petite brise, pas trop de trafic sur le parcours.
Flamingos is great
Great layout. Friendly wide fairway. Afternoon sea breeze, sea level and thick air make it play long. Club up and enjoy. Great deal at 3 for a third the morning price thanks to golf now.
Play at the reduced rate times
Flamingos is a sporty course in a beautiful natural setting. There are houses in view on only 3 holes. The course is in generally good condition, but the greens are not as good as one would expect at the full rate greens fee. Greens are not rolled daily and ball marks are a problem. But at the Golf Now online reduced rates for certain times you can play at a price and not feel overcharged for the experience.
A Mexican gem
Played 3 times at the picturesque Flamingos course in mid-April. Very relaxing, wide open fairways, well groomed. Unlike courses at home, hardly anyone else playing. No one pushing from behind, no one ahead. That's golf at its best. Allowed for rest breaks in the high humidity. Even though sparsely played, the beer cart girl made sure to come out. 19th hole is great too. Very friendly staff and marshalls. Greens were strangely slow with Bermuda grass, took some getting used to. Would play here again in a heartbeat. Pricey like evey course in Mexico but GolfNow hot deals make it affordable.
Pushy marshal sets the tone
The overall course is okay, pretty much what I expected. Their weekend rate at pro shop is better than Golf Now by quite a bit. Book there for weekend or call in advance. There were no other players on he course but the typical marshal wanted everyone in a foursome. He was annoying and had induced some speed golf just to defy him. It would be nice if yardage books were available, I lost balls and shots for underestimating hazards. Forget about finding your ball if it goes into bushes, it's gone. The driving range was in poor shape as were the balls. Consider the 250 pesos cab ride from PV before you book. If I stayed close by, I would play again, but not from PV.
Fun track and good price with last minute golfer
Three of us played. We really enjoyed the course. It was challenging for us....we are 15-20 handicappers....but still a fair course. We played it three times this week. Be sure and use last minute golfer for best deals!
Beautiful course
Overall the course is well kept. The fairways were in good shape but the greens were very slow, thus making putting extremely difficult.
worst greens ever
Not sure if its the grass type used on the greens or what but the greens are rough and very inconsistant. Not really worth playing unless you want to drink beer and don't care about your score. For the steep price I expected more.
Tres beau terrain
Première fois que je jouais ce terrain. Bel aménagement. Personnel courtois. Nous étions 3 et l'avons joué en 3heures et demie. Bien apprécié. En réservant avec golfnow.com, vous avez de meilleurs rabais pour jouer, ca vaut la peine.
Nice Course
Nice course and fun to play. My favorite in Nuevo, but like all the Mexican courses, overpriced.
Thanks again Golfnow, for making this course more affordable.
Flamingos is a very pleasant Course to play.
I would recommend Flamingos. The course is in good condition and has some very interesting holes. We were required to take a caddy - at a very reasonable - price, but I am not sure there was any real benefit in having a caddy. The course personnel are very pleasant and helpful. One area that requires improvement is the condition of the driving range hitting area. The consensus of our foursome was that we would return to Flamingos on our next trip to PV.
Iguanas and crocodiles!
I've played this course for years and love it. But I never knew if you booked through GolfNow you saved over 50%, and that includes reservations well in advance. Afternoon play is considerably faster than early morning and there is usually a nice breeze. And the cart girl will let you order off the full lunch menu and deliver it!
Average resort course, average value golfnow hot tee times
Very well conditioned but short course combined with slow play, took 5 hours. Frequent beverage cart appearances, tho:) Many of the holes blended together. Yardage marking could be better. Glad I played with someone who knew the course, sometimes hard to tell which way the doglegs went. Course rating and slope higher than El Tigre but that is hard to believe...ET much more difficult and challenging. But the greens werre superior at Flamingo. All in all a nice place for a round of golf in NV.
Tres beau terrain
Ce terrain vaut le détour ,tres beau parcours.lepersonnel est très accueillant et courtois
great value
Golf now rate was 50% of normal rate. Extremely good value for a very nice course. Greens, tees, and fairways in very good shape. Played in little under four hours which is not bad for this time of year. Would definitely play again
great value---Excellent course
Great Value for this course with 12:30 tee time and half price in season. Course was excellent with lots of challenging holes but manageable for average golfer. Pace was 3:40. Close to hotel district and bus to take you back to hotel free. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful course. Large fairways
This is a beautiful and tranquil course. Very few houses, makes for a relaxing round situated in the midst of lush jungles. Very wide fairways and accessible greens. Driving range is sub par at best. Good food, friendly staff. Pace of play was pretty slow. They had a group in front of me with 3 carts and 5 golfers.
Good caddie service
Good day great caddie service greens could be improved
