One&Only Palmilla Golf Club - The Arroyo/Mountain Golf Course
About
Overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the One&Only Palmilla Golf Club offers a stunning 27-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The course is divided into three nines that are named after the defining features of their landscape. They are played in three different 18-hole combination, providing golfers with a different experience on the front and back nines. The Arroyo/Mountain Course has the most dramatic elevation changes of the three golf courses and also some of the best views. The seventh hole on the front nine proves "Arroyo" to be an apt name for the course. This 560-yard hole plays alongside one that is deep and intimidating. The back nine, the Mountain Course, is a diverse layout with holes of varying lengths as well as plenty of sand and water.

The ocean nine might be the most scenic of the three loops at Palmilla. Photo submitted by JasonDeeganGA on 02/12/2014
Value is not there
Too expensive for the experience
Construction everywhere really detracts from course. Driving range no grass to hit off.
The whole course has the feeling of just thrown together
Beautiful course
Course in very good condition but seems like a fair amount of construction around it. I assume the club house is being built. The range was in lousy shape which seems crazy given the cost to play.
Comfort Stations makes the value more in line with proce
One hole under repair…otherwise excellent!
Definitely a recommend.

Poor Communication
Course was recovering very nicely from Hurricane Norma. Fairways and greens were in good shape but greens were a bit bumpy and on the slow side. Last hole was closed due to maintenance and golf cart monitorGPS flashed return to clubhouse after 17 holes. When I dropped off the cart and removed my clubs, I was told I could have played hole 1 on the Ocean course to finish 18. The golf cart stated to return to clubhouse after 17 holes and shuts off when you do not follow computer instructions. I had to manually push cart on foot several times when it shut down for not following the instructions. Poor communication all around from checkin with no instructions to terminator type golf carts. Nice course to play, but I would request non gps golf cart or try to disable terminator gps cart next time I play there.
Great layout
Course was enjoyable and a bit challenging to play. Fairways in great shape and greens were as well, although on the slow side. Would recommend as a place to play.
Palmilla
The was in rough shape. Staff very nice, amenities were lacking. Going to private and making upgrades that make the track less than good. Not worth the reduced fees.
All the holes looked the same and the walks from cart to greens are not well placed. Most times the walk was up or down severe slopes. Staff was friendly but not as good as other courses. Wouldn’t play again in Cabo as there are many better courses to play
Palmilla Golf Course Arroyo Ocean
I thoroughly enjoyed this course for the following reasons:
1. Everything was taken care for us by best4golf.com , they handled our tee time and selection
2. It was raining and we were given a non covered cart , after visiting the range, which was very well marked, they gave us a covered cart with a smile
3. The course was well manicured and the greens were super nice and rolled true, all were receptive to shots. The sand bunkers could have used some more sand at the bottom
4. Very big highlight was the hospitality of the only cart girl, Tanya-Alexandria, she was so sweet and attentive to our requests, she explained everything and that she would bring any order to us....saw her multiple times and each time she refreshed us!!! Truly a gem!!
4. I liked how the kitchen took or order at the turn and brought our order out around hole 11...the quesadillas were really good
5. The pro shop and workers were quite attentive to us as well. They were able to get a taxi for us very quickly after our round.
I would recommend this to all visitors.
First time here
Course was in great condition, fast greens, tight fairways. My son & I played a 4hr round with good pace of play on the course. The Ocean side (front 9) has nice views and tight fairways. The Arroyo side (back 9) is a little more forgiving on wayward shots. Nice practice facilities (range, chipping & putting green). Would play here again. Pay with Pesos or credit card only at the golf course.
Nice course!
The staff was friendly and course was in great shape. My only downside of the day was that it was too hot to play for me. Would love to play it again in the winter months.
Great course
I’m a scratch golfer at best so take this with a grain of salt if you’re Phil Mickelson Jr. The course was good overall, I enjoyed playing here and would definitely play here again. The front 9 for me was the mountain course. Cool to play hitting from long fairways that overlooked the hills and valleys. Some challenging holes on this 9. The back 9, the ocean half, was my favorite. Very cool scenic holes and a handful of valleys to hit over. The fairways were fairly well maintained and quick. The greens were hit or miss. Some were really fast, others were a little rough and dry which made the speed of the ball vary. Overall staff was great and very hospitable. They provided food and drinks to the cart via a GPS or were awaiting me on a hole as I was headed there. After finishing I was met with a nice cold towel infused with lemongrass which was very nice considering how humid it was all day. Overall would definitely play here again or recommend to a friend.
Pamilla is all around great course
Pamilla is great from the moment you arrive to when you are enjoying a round at the 19th green.
