Miami Shores Country Club, hole 13. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 03/25/2019
Enjoyed
Pace of play was slow. Backed up every hole. Tee boxes a little rough. Greens in good shape.
Fast and firm
The course has a unique layout requiring you to cross other fairways, so you have to watch out before crossing. The course was in good conditions and the fairways and greens were fast!
I enjoyed the course and we played a round in under 4 hrs!
Friendly staff
We were so impressed with the friendliness of every single staff member that we encountered. When we arrived for the tournament we attended, we were greeted with beautiful smiles in the clubhouse. The staff went above and beyond with every person as they entered, asked questions, bought products, etc. The golf pro was awesome with the girls and the gentlemen that got our cart was awesome as well. A particular shout out to Sandra who was wonderful!
Poor driving range fast greens.
The driving range was a mess. The course was in decent shape but not great. The greens were excellent, pro fast tho. Overall there are much better options for the price being charged here.
Friendly old school CC
Visiting the FLL North Miami area for the first time. Found an early morning tee time at Miami Shores. 2 members of the club asked me to join their group. Early morning pace of play was great, finished in under 4 hours (looked very busy when my round ended). Mark and David were great members: friendly, gave me tips on how to play certain holes, told stories about the area and the history of MSCC. Greens were small (very old courses tend to have) they were fast. Course was in good shape, would play again. Head Pro Chris also joins us for a couple holes, was also friendly!
Good Deal
All in all it was a very enjoyable, the greens we're great and the practice range was conveniently located.
Reasonable course.
Course is in decent shape. A few rough tee boxes but given amount of play and lack of rain is not too bad. Old style course. Not too long and fairly open. Greens are small so approach shots need to be sharp. Only complaint was pace of play. At one point 4 groups were at hole 7 (par5). We called the pro shop but ranger never showed up. Eventually pace picked up as 2 groups quit after 9.
Great golf great staff
Played Miami Sores today and had an overall great experience….Course conditions were excellent from tee boxes to greens….The entire staff provided exceptional friendly service…Would like to single out the pro shop personnel, Sandra, Mayou and Joan . Although Sandra personally checked me in and answered some questions when I finished the round, all three ladies were ,highly professional, very informative and extremely pleasant to dela with… Kudos to the management for selecting such great personnel…Plan to return for many more rounds…
Slow
We left after 4 1/2 hours and still had 4 to play. Not a good place for pace. Condition was decent but not as good as some of the neighboring courses
Slow Pace of Play
after close to 5 hours we gave up playing as we were only starting hole 15. Pace of play was glacial. I now remember why I don't regularly play there
