Most of the water holes have dried up, neds rain
Considering the lack of rain or irrigation, the course has stood up well to the winter season. I found the 15th and 16th holes interesting, They both had character not seen often in Florida. The greens were well protected by trees and it required staying in the fairways to avoid them. If the course was closer to where I live I would definitely play it more often.
This course is in very bad shape.
Dave in the pro shop is very nice. But the course is in very bad shape. Weeds abundant. Sand hasn't been freshened in many years. Tee boxes extremely primitive. Driving range? I need to stop. We won't be back.
Weeds and dirt sums it up
I am certain that at one time this course was probably amazing. But time, a lack of attention and funding, and the Florida sun have all taken a toll and this place was, in short sum, a goat track.
The tees boxes had no grass and were nothing but dirt. The fairways and greens were 90% weeds. And the bunkers were hard packed mud.
It is really sad to be honest; I played this course many years ago and seem to recall a nice track. But now, unless there is devine intervention and a LOT of money, this course is essentially dead.
This course needs some work
Everything about this course is outdated. The greens and tee boxes are in poor shape. It was probably nice in the 80's.
Good value for the money.
I have played this course over the last 18 years. Unfortunately it is not in the condition it was 12-18 years ago. Greens are true and bunkers are in good condition. Grounds need a lot of attention. Looks like a nice course past it's prime.
would play it again
the course was in great shape and we were able to play it in 4:15.
Fairly open even though there are lots of Sand Bunkers and Water
Course has deteriorated somewhat over the years but they are still trying to keep it in reasonable shape.
Course was very dry.
front 9 is friendly. Back nine is very challanging and isnot very
well marked. One could easily get lost if he had not played the course before.
Needs a-lot of work.
This place has so much potentia from it's past life. This was one of the places to play in it's time. Look for great deals for this course online. One day this place will be revived.
Very good bones. Sorry to see it go down. Greens are toast
This complex needs a serious injection of $. It has a great layout, but the fairways are dried out to the point of being a pasture and the greens are pathetic.
This Course Needs Help
The course and facility are really run down and need of major attention. The greens have large dead spots and it seems nothing has been watered in a long time. No TP or paper towels in the men's restroom. I gave it fair rating only because it was very inexpensive to golf there. We got off to a bad start by arriving one hour early to use the driving range and putting green. The pro shop person would not check us in even refusing to take our green fees. We were told to come back in 1/2 hour even though we were the only ones in the pro shop at the time. He warmed up a bit once we informed him we were there to practice On the other hand the starter was very friendly. We did tee off on time but had to follow a fivesome for 18 holes. We were a threesome who plays fast, need I say more? To the credit of the fivesome they did a decent job of keeping pace but it was hit and wait all afternoon long.
could use some rain
The greens were more black than green but with so many sand
traps, it is a difficult course.
Exactly what you pay for.
Tee boxes poor condition, sand. Greens are half sand half grass. Layout is nice but no maps on scorecard or hole markers. Fairway grass is tight. The cost for 18 holes should be below 20$. I like this course.
Course needs work!
Greens and fairways are poor. Both need lots of work to bring them up to standards to meet their posted advertisement. This course (and clubhouse) is showing its age and work is needed.
COURSE NEEDS WORK, BUT IS PLAYABLE.
THE COURSE HAS A GREAT LAYOUT, BUT NEEDS WORK AND GRASS CUT NEAR THE TRANSITION FROM FAIRWAY TO THE FIRST CUT ROUGH.
Excellent layout but not well maintained
Course in disrepair. Back nine much better.
Still worth playing at the 55% discounted price but not at the full stipulated price of $40 at time of play.
Always fun to play this course!
This course is no pushover. It is challenging to make your best scores. The greens are faster than other courses in the area but are true. There is plenty of sand bunkers to make you plan your shots. Enough water to keep your attention especially on two par 5's where one has to decide to lay up or take the risk. (Your drive better be well-placed)
The course is not in very good shape
The tee blocks were not in very good shape and most greens were not in very good shape. This was the most we had paid for to play so far and it doesn't compare to the other courses we played at all.
