Fun
Wide open fairways. Not too much sand. Hardly any water hazards. Mostly flat greens. Great course to play and not lose a lot of balls!
Wet Round After Extraordinary Rains
We were able to get 9 holes in on the Arcrade back nine. There were few players on the course, the obvious reason being how water soaked the course was. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and happy to have us there. We hadn't played this course for quite some time. We were pleased with the many choices of tees. My wife and I are seniors, and an old friend who is a beginning golfer joined in the fun. We selected what tees to play based on the "Recommended Tees" on the score card. The ladies played the red tees and I played the tan tees. These are 2 of 6 tee choices! We found this tee selection a great improvement over what we have experienced at other courses. It is so nice to be able to tee off and if you hit the ball reasonably well you have a shot at making the green in regulation. This is most often not the case when my wife plays from red tees and I play from the men's white tees. We walked the course having rented some very practice and easily used pull carts. In spite of the extremely wet conditions we had a very nice round of golf on a classic valley course layout. The only negative we have about this course is that it is bordered on both sides with I-80 and Bus 80 freeways which make what should be a nice quiet wall in a park, a noisy one. If you don't enjoy playing golf next to a noisy freeway avoid this course.
Wet, but fun none the less
Lots of rain has made for a pretty wet golf course. I figured the rain had let up last weekend and decided to play the course Monday morning. The course was so soggy my golf balls plugged in the fairways, so needless to say; I picked up a wiped off my balls after every shot. I love the wide open fairways and the challenging greens, but I can't wait for this course to dry out (it may take a while with rain expected again) ha ha. Overall great course and outstanding value for the money. I'll be playing it again soon.
That time of year
Everything is great about the course.
(especially the greens normally)
But temporarily (as of 9/25/16)...
the greens are punched and sanded.
The bad news is obviously putting.
The good news is the course probably won't be crowded, & will play fast. If you aren't trying to
improve your putting for a week or 2...
go have a blast! Great people. Nice Course.
Lot's of Turkey's. Deer & Coyotes too.
Really Dumb
The round was horrible. Haggin: get rid of the foot golf. It's dumb they let foot golf play with the golfers. We had little kids kicking the ball past us as we were trying to play. They also were aerated and the dude at the pro shop didn't even give us a heads up. You can't charge full price and have aerated greens. But the courses are horrible for the price. I'll go play Cordova for half the price, same course.
9 Holes at Arcade Creek
The coarse was good and well kept , they could of move a foursome in front of us along , they took forever and i'am not even a good golfer.
A lot of fun.
The course was a lot of fun, a good walk and a gear challenge, see you next week!
Value for 9 ruined by maintenance management
If you have guests scheduled to play at 7am them watering the course should be completed prior to the round. Par 5 with three sprinklers on forcing us to time our shots to avoid being sprayed? A worker watering the green on one of the par 3s that we had to yell a warning to before we hit? I have played the main course many times and it has been great. I won't be back to play Arcade any time soon.
this is a good public course.
I appreciate this course as it's forgiving to the high-handicap player but can be challenging to the more skilled player. Nice wide fairways. Greens are in decent condition -- I wish more golfers would repair their ball marks! All in all, it's a great value for the price.
Great Course & Friendly Staff
Great course to play and walk 9 holes. The Pro Shop offers lots of everything "golf". We'll definitely be back again!
Well Kept Course - easy access with lot of amenities
The course is nicely kept and is good for all range of golfers. Some fairways are a little narrow, but the trees don't come into play very often. Only 2 holes with water/ravine that you need to hit over (on the back nine). I was able to play with a single ball all day. If you are playing nine, walking should be fine, but I would choose a cart in playing eighteen. The amenities at this location are awesome. There are several different putting & chipping areas, range balls, a pro shop, merchandise for sale and a restaurant in indoor/outdoor seating.
Conditions good!
The course was in good shape as the recent rains has "greened" everything. The rough was low but thick so you didn't want to go there. The greens were rolling good and pretty quick. Fairways were fast. On this course, some lies were inconsistent and so a couple times I had no grass underneath my ball in the rough.
Wet course but great greens
Following a good soaking the fairways were soggy in spots but the greens were great!
Great value
Good condition, friendly staff,, multiple tees for all abilities, very enjoyable.
Excellent conditions for time of year.
Pro shop staff was fantastic, course was in great condition and greens rolled true. Have played here many times. Always a pleasure. Rates at the course were considerably cheaper than Golf Now.
Haggin oaks back 9
For the money great value!! Grass was green and felt good
Fairways nice and greens rolled nicely!!
quick nine
Arcade creek is a flat valley course with nice greens that are a challenge while not causing stress. Not fancy but worth the price if deal is booked.. Easy to walk and speedy if you keep pace.
