Reviews
Good quality Florida course
Nice SW Florida course. Long enough from the Blues to qualify as a full course
Naples Golf at its BEST
The Glen Eagle Country Club can be scheduled in the off season on Golf Now. I have reservations of writing this review because we love playing at Glen Eagle and want to keep this secret to ourselves. We enjoy the variety in the design and the challenge of the course. Great value for the quality of the course in the off season.
Pleasant surprise.
We have never played this course before and we were pleasantly surprised as it was quite a pretty course. Holes not too demanding and pace of play was excellent. We were only in a 2 ball and were let through by others.
Lost in paradise
The course was a fun layout. We had some trouble getting our bearing to get to number ten. Then back to the clubhouse after 18. Fair and easy to play.
if you play from the blues, you best be good
Playing from the blue markers, narrow fairways are the norm, and one or two doglegs that seem to be more then a90 degree, with some water thrown in ,adds to the challenge . With a few 500 plus holes.
Thats just about says it all.
Would say the hardest course i played this year.
Great challenge for the novice golfer with beautiful grounds.
Just an all around nice course with a staff that went above and beyond what many other more costly courses provide in the Naples, Florida area. Well worth the cost and very beautiful surroundings.
Great Value
The course is a great value with Golf Now. Has excellent GPS in cart. Staff came around with cool towels for heat relief. Course is in good condition.
Not having a driving range is a big drawback. Greens were in decent shape after aeration.
Nice layout, very deceiving!
Course was in good conditions. The only snag was there were too many holes were you couldn't drive the cart. Course was dry and again, in good conditions, but yet had to stay in cart path through a least eight holes. Nevertheless, would play again.
Great Deal
Have been golfing most of Naples area for the summer and have to say that Glen Eagle was one of the better deals around. Does seem to hold alot of water after rain, so maybe consider this when booking a tee time, but even so we really enjoyed our round.
Glen Eagle is a beautiful property
Great condition and the food was great. I have played here for years and it's always in good shape.
Pristine Condition Course for the straight hitter
Excellent condition course, plush conditions - need to be a straight hitter with many doglegs ..pleasure to play ace of play was well kept
Challenging course for the average golfer
Quality course with very friendly staff. Not a long course but challenging because of water and sand trap locations.
Enjoyable ..
Its the height of the heat and humidity here in SWF but I got a chance to dive out for a quick 18 holes and decided to play somewhere new. This course was great value on GolfNow and true to the Pro Shop, if you can hit straight you'll score OK... Its not long but can be tight, the greens had been spiked so were not in the optimal condition - but its a fair test of the average golfer. Don't expect great facilities - the locker room is the restroom basically - but I got round in 2 hrs 10 minutes, course was quiet - and I had a great time. Great staff too.
Lovely
We loved the course despite the recent tining of the greens. Lots of variety in holes and beautiful planting everywhere. Longer tees would challenge low handicappers but possible for everyone to score well and use all the clubs in the bag.
Excellent Short Course
This is a par 70 shorter course which is excellent for a shorter hitting senior like myself. The condition of the course could not be any better and I very much enjoyed playing there.
Fu Course
You can make it challenging from the back tees or easier from their multiple tees depending on skill level. Course is very well maintained with a nice club house. I will definitely play again.
Great Course Club Course
not the longest course. I ron play is a premium to fairly easy pins
Short and Tight
Played the tips which brought a lot of trouble into play if your tee shot wasn't reasonably straight. I would have rated the course conditions 5 stars had the greens not been so slow. Would play again
