Marina Vallarta Golf Club
About
Marina Vallarta Golf Club is known for its stunning tropical landscape that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Golfers have the opportunity to play amongst iguanas and alligators while enjoying scenic views of the Bay of Banderas. The course is blessed with a bevy of natural hazards including towering palm trees, lagoons, and waterfalls. Colorful tropical flowers and native vegetation further accent the landscape. In addition to the natural hazards, there are also a few strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. The golf course offers a challenging but fair test that is not overly demanding, which is probably for the best since it is easy to get distracted by the beautiful surroundings. Given its versatility and scenery, Marina Vallarta G.C. has become a popular venue for various golfing events, including the Governor's Cup Pro/Am Tournament.

The course is in town, Wind and Water come into play on many holes Sand traps are rock hard.
We booked with GN back in Canada to reserve our tee time , $89 pp due at the GC , well Canadian Dollars are not accepted and we had to pay in Mexican Peso $1690 !!! Wich is equivalent to $140 Canadian
Very expensive outing
This Course layout hasn’t changed in years
It’s ok laid back afternoon golfing , you meet up with friendly people
The only surprise was the green fee
We booked with GN in back in Canada - $89 due at the course per player !
The Course doesn’t accept $Candian so we had to pay in peso $1692 per person this is equivalent to $150 Canadian …
Marina Vallarta Golf Club
Great views of crocodiles in the numerous water features. Fairways are open and sometimes forgiving. Greens are in good shape and quick.Score cards could use a map of course layout.
Marina Vallarta Golf Course review from a 70 year old Canadian
The course provides a good test of your golfing skills due to the variety of the terrain, the placement of the sand traps & water hazards, appropriate locations of the tee boxes depending on your skill level & the undulating greens allows numerous locations to place the cups to test your putting skills.
It can also test you mental fortitude if you are from an area that doesn’t have large crocodiles swimming or walking around the water hazards.,
Course very good, ranger rude.
Fun, challenging, beautiful course on OCEAN. Ranger was very rude...came up to us on 10th tee and said we playing 15 min too slow and had to either skip a hole or play best ball! Never even a warning, as we could easily pick up our pace, wo being so rude. Crazy, as we were not being pushed and it was rainy all day. Then the ranger kind of followed us around for 3 or 4 holes. Ruined a nice round for me.
Ok
Greens were in great shape and ran pretty true. Played the front in 2:10. Back was 3:30 and absolute misery. No Marshall in sight. One par 4 there were 3 foursomes waiting on the teebox.
Could be better!
Very difficult course with lots of water and tons of sand. Not for the feint of heart, but I knew that going in. Staff were very friendly, and even though it rained a bit, we enjoyed ourselves. But the fairways were bare in lots of places and the bunkers had huge rocks in them. Greens were good, and quick. But I was disappointed in the overall maintenance and upkeep. For the money, Vistana is a much better track and better maintained.
Great callout on the bunkers. What a joke. What did you think of the pace?
