About
Vista Vallarta Golf Club offers two championship courses, one designed by Jack Nicklaus and the other by Tom Weiskopf. The Weiskopf Course provides a dramatically different round from the Nicklaus design. The other golf course sits atop the property's highest elevation while this one is situated at the lower west end. As you step onto the course and see the dense jungles that sprawl across deep ravines, you will hardly believe that it is still the same property. It offers the same level of challenge as the Nicklaus Course but some high handicappers prefer this one since there are fewer blind shots and the greens are more receptive, making them not quite as tricky. The 15th is an uphill par 3 that is probably the golf course's most memorable hole. This challenging hole requires a carry past a ravine to multi-tiered green that is surrounded by bunkers on all sides.

Over booked
Over booked for the price, pace of place was hours behind
Wonderful course, taxi shortage
The course is absolutely beautiful, the staff s truly amazing. When it comes to getting a taxi out, or even an uber, it is impossible. We have been stuck at this course a few times. The course kept calling for taxi's none would show up, it took 20 mins to connect with an uber driver, then another 20 mins for the driver to get there.
Challenging layout and overall pleasant experience.

Outstanding golf course. Tricky but fair greens, well maintained. Great staff, shout-out to the starter Jae! Pretty expensive to play earlier but twilight rate was fair. Will most certainly play again.
Love the Weiskopf course but..
Great layout, great staff, great practice area. My only issue's some of the sand traps need more sanding them,or need to be tilled up, making it difficult to get out because your club bottoms out and bounces into the ball.
Also my group would like a place to get a drink after our round but you close the bar too early. Other than that, we truly enjoy it at Vista.

Fun track to play..fairly generous fairways, good conditions and has some really nice scenic holes..would totally recommend..played twilight rate 3pm $79just under 4 hour round..finished before dark

Interesting course with elevation changes, good condition fairways and great greens that run very true.
Great course!
It’s a lovely course. Very picturesque while playing. Decent difficulty level. I highly recommend playing at twilight to catch the sunset in Jan-Feb on the 18th. Spectacular backdrop.
Great experience
First time playing Weiskopf and it didn't disappoint.
The check in was quick and friendly, as was all the staff.
Stellar deal if playing after 230, but time does become a factor if behind any slower players.
One disappointment is that only the forward tees are rated for women players. Not all women play the forward tees!
All in all a superb experience, even with a taxi from Nuevo Vallarta / Nuevo Nayarit.
