One and done

I've been curious about this course for a while now, and I guess I got it out of my system. I wouldn't recommend it. Spend a few extra dollars and book at Pinon Hills.

Aztec Golf Course 9 14 2018

The course was well groomed, most fairways were sloped and grassy, multi-teired greens and lush vegetation/trees surrounding the course. Awesome bang for the buck!

Hospitality was above and beyond at Aztec

Played Aztec Municipal Golf Course for the first time on July 11th. We had a group of 6 (2 threesomes) and had a great time. The hospitality was 2nd to none. We were treated fantastic which made the day even more enjoyable.
The course was FUN. Not long, but challenging. Try to stay in the fairway and take your time on your approach to the greens. They are small, but fair.
We are from out of town, but will definitely play here again on our next visit to the area.

Poopy

Memorial weekend & no one there. Weird layout. Fareways have very little grass. Greens in bad shape. I don't think I'll go there again.

Horrible course

This was probably one of the worst courses I have played in my 40 years playing. The greens had about 20% of grass the rest was dirt. The fairways were just as bad. The tee boxes had no marking, no grass, and no clear direction of which way the hole was going. I'd give this a 1/2 star if I could. The price for 9 holes was 18 bucks which should have been 5 bucks I can't imagine what the price would have been if it was 18 holes. The only good part was that the back nine was closed and we did ent have to play on.

Aztec Municipal Golf Course, Winter golf.

Perfect weather day for golf. Pro shop employees
were top rate and allowed us to start early! The grass was still dormant so we played on very dry/winter ground, was fun and enjoyable to get out with friends for an afternoon of small ball. Several green's were flagged in impossible positions, but we had a good laugh and will definitely play again later in the season when the grass is green. Best part was speed of play and views of the La Plata Mountains.

Layout

the layout of this course was lousy. We rode around for 15 minutes looking for holes 14 and 15 and never did find them. The rough was really long and we lost a lot of balls.

fun day, a tale of 2 9s

enjoy playing aztecs course, ive been to twice this year.. . definitely the 2nd time around was a better experience, the first was early n the year and finding the correct layout was somewhat difficult but the 2nd time around we got around alot better. tight fairways on a few holes and open on others. the greens are good, rolled good, not fast nor too slow - played the front 9 in 5 over and averaged a double bogey on the back 9.... yes, it was self inflicted mistakes. but ill definitely be back, i drive in from AZ and its on the other side of farmngton but its a joy to play. i definitely recommend.

Aztec Golf Course

Grounds are under renovation. Fun course, but needs markers identifying the tee boxes. Very confusing.

Hidden gem

This course was great to play. It had only about 25 people playing on a Saturday which was great, and the pace of play was great. The food was great I had the fried pickles with a club sandwich after nine holes. The staff was extremely friendly along with others on the course. It was a great price at $10 per person with a cart. The only down fall was the leaves were following and it was hard to find your ball in the fairway with all the leaves. I traveled to Farmington to visit family from Show Low, AZ and loved the course with no wind at all.
