First Time Impression
Camp Campestre GC was a decent course in Cabo to play. Most of course was in excellent shape. Wide fairways were forgiving, but greens were tough. Views were very nice. New homes dotted most fairways on back 9. Staff was kind and helpful.
Now for some not-so-good things. Golf carts were ridiculous. Had to hold our golf bags in with bungee cord and water cooler holder was broken. All carts were like this. A bb cap was $50 us, a golf shirt was $130 us, and a golf towel was $45 us.
Without a discounted tee time, I would not play this course again.
Over priced
It’s a nice course don’t get me wrong but just not worth the money
Most of the range balls has no dimples on them
The cart we had kept backfiring every time you step on the gas
don't risk it - they don't honor reserved and paid tee times
I booked a tee time 3 months in advance, arrived and checked in at the course 2 hours early and was on the 1st tee 10 minutes early, only to have a "member" take my tee time. When I asked the starter to step in, he said "what do you want me to do..." He told me to just go out as a five-some. On second tee the "members" said I could play ahead and found myself trapped as the only single on a packed golf course. After 2 holes of waiting 10 mins on every shot, I left the course and informed the head pro/manager what transpired and asked for a refund. The manager responded with a similar rude attitude and offered an unusable raincheck. I finally got a full refund after making a scene and then promptly went back to Solmar Gol Links and had a enjoyable later afternoon round, hosted by a warm and welcoming staff, who value their customers. Absolutely don't risk making a tee time at this course. There are nicer places to play in Los Cabos with more professional staff.
Campestre is solid
I’ve played here a few times now, it’s an enjoyable track and generally in good shape. Cabo golf has gotten almost completely unaffordable and prices are up considerably from just last year or two. Campestre in the US would be 80-100 but will run you double, just have to block that out and enjoy. Staff is friendly and the course is fair but tough. Usually my warm up course every trip.
December Golf in Cabo
A great all around experience. The staff was accommodating and helpful as I arrived at the course. Great range and practice facilities overlooking the Sea of Cortez. I started at 2 pm and finished at 6 pm at sunset. Wonderful challenging Nicklaus course. Definitely recommend.
Great day
From the time I arrived the experience was first class. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Booking a last minute round.
The course is fair with challenging greens and some pretty good views. I would play here again next visit.
Challenging and Enjoyable
We played in the searing heat (11:30 am) but it was well worth it because we got a Hot Deal. The course has LOTS of bunkers and very challenging greens (it feels more like a Pete Dye course instead of a Jack Nicklaus course). It is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Drinks and food are not included but fairly priced. Their ceviche was so good that we ordered s second one to go! We had a very good experience and would definitely play there again.
Highly recommend
I love everything about this course. Fairways are amazing. Layout is challenging but well thought out.
The greens are in perfect shape. Overall, this is one of the best golf courses I've ever played. Staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend this course.
Very nice
Definitely worth the hot deal. Challenging and fun with some great scenery
Club Campestre
Great course. Very good conditions. Nicklaus signature undulating greens a real challenge as well as the numerous bunkers.
Fun course, crazy rolercoaster greens.
Great Nicklaus design but the greens are nutz! Makes it fun, unless you're trying to score.
This course and another Nicklaus I played are over watered so zero roll with mud on the ball 100% of the time. Still love playing here tho'.
Staff very excellent.
Fun course with challenging holes
This is a BIG course with plenty of long holes. But they're all well maintained and many have nice views of the sea. Several of the holes require hitting uphill to the green. A couple let you drive from elevated tees down onto the fairway. A few are dog-legs where you don't initially see the flags. There are ravine obstacles, but it's easy to get close to them and then pitch the ball onto the green. All in all, a very fun course.
