had a great time
great value has a great time a must play fora experienced golfer
So nice
The greens were so amazing and smooth and when you thought it would brake they would. The fairway was nice and open the rough was thick in spots and not so bad in others I loved this course and can't wait to go back to play.
Love GPS in a cart!
Very nice, well maintained golf course with rolling hills that aren't too tough to walk. Greens always run true and 3 9's allow a variety of options. Desert area is clean enough to see wayward shots from the cart path. Challenging holes but many very forgiving fairways. Nice staff. Driving range needs work.
Great staff & great value
Had some time to kill after a meeting and booked this last minute. Rental clubs were excellent, staff was very friendly and cut us a great deal. Well maintained and the greens rolled well.
Bad first time playing here
Rude people and not willing to work with customers... will not be playing here again
Painted Dunes is a very good place to play if you get a chance to play.I
I've played Painted Dunes many times before, but this time with your discount it was "Great". I will tell all my friends about Golf Now. Thank You.
This course has 3 9 hole courses that you can play in any combination and all are challenging but fun.
The course has a great layout, as well as some great views. It requires you to play straight and keep on fairways or risk being in the desert or in bunkers or at the bottoms of hills for difficult approach chips or flop shots. The staff was very friendly, an everything was well maintained. The driving range was good to hit off of, but there were no yardage markers to help gage distance. Overall it is a great golf course!
not yet the course they want
this course has everything but water-we just played first week of april and it doesn't look like things will get better this summer-staff,clubhouse,design,drivingrange,cart girl are all great-course is drying up-someday will be on your hit list
The course has difficult pin locations on sloping greens.
The golf course is in fact in the middle of the desert. As a recreational golfer, I do not have the shot making skills required to conquer tee to greens. A wayward shot will in all likelihood be lost in the desert brush, so bring extra balls, or lie in one of many bunkers. Of course if you're lucky when out looking for your missed drive, you'll find someone else's lost shot. There are no trees. Being out in the desert on the eastside of the Franklin Mountain range, there is a tendency for excessive winds on occasion and definitely summer heat which although dry will be in the high 90's or single digit 100's. Bring water. Have fun, keep smiling, and shoot straight...
The course design is OK, but maintenance keeps it a goat track.
After reading descriptions about this course online, I must say I wasn't sure what to expect. I saw both positive and negative reviews. After playing however, I can say this, the course is not worth the effort. It is on the far north side of El Paso. The views are few at best. The course has an average layout. A couple of classic hole designs. The maintenance and general condition of the course were not good. I will give a nod to winter and the dormant grass. I can't however overlook the patchy fairways, some covered in dirt from the dirt blowing across them from the open desert. The 2 types of grass on the greens that made putting a very bumpy ride and the large sections of the course that were just bare dirt, not to mention the bunkers filled with a mix of sand and pea gravel. The practice facility was lacking at best. There were no targets or even distance marks to practice to. The one bright spot that I will point out is that the clubhouse is well maintained and has a pleasant look on the inside.
Overall good experience.
Greens were perfect, fairways cloud be a bit more closely mown.
Beautiful course! Loved it!!!!! Great carts with GPS. Well manicured course and fantastic greens,
Can't wait to get back out to El Paso to play the course again.
Championship layout has hosted national and USGA Events
An excellent golf course with 27-holes in which the original 18 has hosted mini-tour Events and several USGA Qualifiers. The new 9-holes offers as much of a challenge as the original 18 with slightly more forgiveness from the desert terrain. A good mix of long and short holes which offer a player risk-reward decisions on several holes as well which compliments any well-designed golf course.
