Worst Course ever played
This course really is a joke. 9 hole course. I'm not sure why golf net would even partner with this course. It's built right next door to a lovely working landfill and upscale apartments. Wow the scenic view. Keep in mind this is a 9 hole course so once you think you might get to escape the front nine you're told at the turn it's a nine hole course and you get to relive the nightmare again.
OMG! Even if you get a free certificate to play this course the gas money you'll spend to get there results in overpaying.
Stay away. One more thing, they did replace the greens with your basic 70's shag carpet.
Great price during the quarantine
The price are right with 9 holes costing $16 to walk. We had a good time walking but wasn't use to the hilly terrain. This is a good basic course. The heavy foliage and trees between the fairways were unforgiving if your ball went into the area.
The course could use some additional maintenance but the price was right.
Hard but cheap course
This course in my opinion isn't the best. Unfortunately, it sits next to a landfill which ruins some of the views. The course isn't well maintained, as lots of bunkers are missing sand, and areas just haven't been filled in. The fairways occasionally have no grass in certain patches, instead, it's dirt. I do have to say the owner is a fairly nice guy, and golf carts are included. For a round of 9/18 holes, a price under $20 you can't beat. However, expect to lose up to $10-15 in golf balls as the fairways are very narrow, and there is nearly no room for error.
Golf course shoe-horned into canyon
Hard to write a review about this course without sounding negative. It just didn’t lay out well, and the loop didn’t make a lot of sense. Most drives are into a hillside and the landing areas are pretty narrow to hold a fairway. I’ve played it from the tips and from the Men’s tee boxes and results were about the same. Won’t be back. Just wasn’t worth the time.
Tricky
I’ve played here maybe a dozen times and it’s one of my go to courses in the DFW area. The course is exceptionally tricky for a multitude of reasons. There’s not a single hole where you can flub a tee shot. The fairways and landing areas off the tee are extremely tight. Secondly most holes have a significant amount of elevation change. Getting a good approach shot is a substantial task. And if that isn’t enough this course has some of the fastest and most unreadable greens i’ve ever played on. In conclusion be prepared to lose balls and be generally frustrated during the first 9. This course rewards patients and will undoubtedly improve your game. A great place to challenge yourself to get better and at a reasonable price.
Tournament Speed Greens
This 9 hole course can be played twice for 18 or just 9 holes which is the way I played it. For a course in North Texas it gives more of a hill country layout. A lot of elevation changes with blind tee shots or approach shots to the greens. I only used driver once since this narrow fairway course really makes you be dialed in on hitting the right distance to make your next shot is strategically placed in the correct side of the fairway with dog legs as extreme as a 90° turn with heavy trees and sharp cliffs that will penalize your mistake. Even more challenging the greens are fast and in prestige conditions. I'm shocked on how great and fun this 9 hole course was to play. Tee boxes were the best I've seen around, even with it being January. Come play 9 holes if you have 1-2 hrs
Great value for the price
Excellent greens, fast but true.
A course where you will always play better the second time around; several blind shots on doglegs.
Putting green but no driving range
Interesting course
Accuracy is important, but there is enough room to keep your drives in play. There can be runoff if you hit the ball in the wrong place. Greens are very slow, so be prepared to hot your putts hard. Traps could use a little work on some holes. Water provided is nice and cold, so good attention is paid to player comforts.
Staff is very friendly and personable. A nice place to play for a reasonable price. I
Money value is amazing, course has bunkers not filled.
This course is pretty good. I bought two people for $40 total after tax and all. Great value for the course and the golfing since that was for 18 holes, even though we stopped after 9. A few bunkers were not filled and haven't been filtered out in years I could tell. Greens were also a bit slow, but it may of been from the humid weather. Overall, I would come back for a nice round of golf.
Short Game
This course challenges your short game, very hilly so be prepared to drive short and hope you have a good lie to the green. Not an easy course.
Better than expected!
Nice 9 hole course, with some very tight fairways. Take a lot of extra balls if you have trouble hitting straight off the tee.
Great Time!
First time to play this course. Great price for a great round! Challenging with the up hill holes, rolling hill fairways and hard turns, but really fun to play! Very well maintained, beautiful trees. Employees and patrons very friendly! Looking forward to our next round!
Tight course
This is a very tight course. Play was very slow had a 10:40 tee time but was near 11:00 before we could tee off. Not a course I would play again with the wind from the north, northwest as the city dump is adjacent to the course and the smell was bad. Myself being a new golfer this was a very tough course for me.
Might be short, but tough
This 9 hole layout plays longer than the yardage because all the uphill approaches. and the multiple tee boxes can give you a different look if you play it as an 18 hole course. You definitely have to know your yardages, and be able to hit your tee ball straight...some tight fairways! It's challenging but fair...I like it!
Excellent Pro Shop Staff! Course was Just So-So
Just about the friendliest and most helpful pro shop gentleman I've ever encountered. I did not enjoy the course. It was very tight and discouraging for an intermediate golfer. Also, coming off 2, there were no markings for 3 and then completely bypassed 4....again no markings. If the permanent markers are under reconstruction (as it appeared they were) temporary H-frame signs can be popped up quickly and easily. Three foursomes lost time trying to figure out where we were all going.
I made a hole in one!
How can i not give 5 stars to a course where I made my first hole in one? Par 3 #8 180 yards.. The best shot of my life for sure and my 19 y/o son playing with me witnessed it.. Course will always hold a special place in my heart and will definitely be back...Clubhouse attendant - William - was great - i told him about my shot and he congratulated me - after I left he called me back and told me I will get a gift.. Very thoughtful..will pick it up next week..
I made a hole in one!
How can I not give 5 stars to a course that I hit a hole in one on??? Par 3 number 8 180 yds...MY first and will never forget...
I told the club house after I finished my round what I did - not because i wanted anything - just to tell someone how thrilled I was!! I did have my son playing with me..
After i went home ( over 30 minutes away) I received a call from the clubhouse attendant who said he was trying to track me down..he said he spoke to his manager and said that i will be getting a gift for my accomplishment.. I thought how thoughtful and nice of them...I will going up there next weekend to collect a gift and have my picture taken.. so very thoughtful and gracious - I have played here a handful of times ( would play more but I'm far away) BUT i can assure you that I will come back as often as possible due to the great service and kindness shown by the staff...this is a very challenging 9 hole course that I always play twice for 18 holes...
Tight Course
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Course is narrow and long and uphill. Great course. Will be back.
