Choose clubs wisely...
Nice course that will test all your clubs. Very well maintained. Come ready to play, only has a putting area.
Fun course
Some fun holes that challenge any level of golfer. Playing the course more than once will help with set up and where to hit the ball on some fairways. Because it's 9 holes, the layout is a little tight, making for narrow fairways. Ball control is key
Best course to strengthen your ball striking!
I try and play here at least twice a month. I have never played a course with such narrow fairways, uneven lies, elevation changes, and great rough. This course will make you a better player because it forces you to shoot different shot shapes out of different lies. For the price, you can't go wrong and the pace of play is excellent. Definitely a well-kept secret.
Tight 9 hole course
This course is very tight, tree lined with water in all the hard places. Had a lot of fun on this course with the hills and par 3's providing the challenge and fun. Located about 5 mins from the highway it's easy to get to and you are challenged from the starting hole. The elevated par 3 6th hole with the undulating greens and fountain is the highlight of this course.
No carts
Teed off an hour later than scheduled tee time because there were not enough carts
Average Course
A very challenging course, with a lot of blind shots, and terrible rough. Bring plenty of balls, if you have a high handicap! Too many hills and valleys for such a small course
Hidden treasure
It's a pretty well kept secret in Denton, the course itself is really challenging. It has really tight fairways, also only course I know that's a 9 hole, with two par 5. The only bad thing is they don't have a cart girl/boy driving around during summer those water stations can't come fast enough
Good value but lots of blind spots
This is a good course but you have to pay attention to the people in front and behind you. #1 and #8 are close and I saw a group get frustrated because they thought they were hitting into them. There are a few others so you really have to pay attention. Beyond that I think it is a great course for a quick 9. Challenging and tight and in pretty good shape.
Timber Links
This course is an excellent value. The course maintenance is very good. The pace of play is efficient. Some fairways are narrow so bring extra golf balls. Even though it is only a 9 hole course, it is fun to immediately go around the second time to try to improve on your first 9.
Enjoyed the day
Course was in very good shape for the middle of winter. Cart path only, some of the fairways were wet, but did not affect my game. The course opportunities to make par and although around an apartment complex, buildings are not really in play and noisy distractions were at a minimum. Had a great time, beautiful weather and good company for a day of golf.
Nice course, but Cart Path Only
The course is set around apartment complexes and it appears to have been laid out to accommodate an existing apartment complex. So some of the fairways are kind of narrow strange slopes and landing areas. There is a lot of distance from green to tee box on a few holes, so walking is difficult.
However the whole course is cartpath only, so you still have to take your bag with you to some of your shots if you're not sure of distance and yardage which is not marked well.
Course was in decent shape, with nice fairways and fast greens.
Hidden Gem in Denton
Played Timber Links and went on the best day, at the best time. It was very enjoyable. The turns, the ups and downs and the design made it interesting, but was glad it wasn't crowded. It's a nice neighborhood course, and will almost certainly return.
Timber Links for the Win
Golfed here a number of times. I was excited to play here again while being home for the holidays. Very fun 9-hole course that can be played through twice quickly or at a slower pace as well.
Pretty landscapes and interesting holes.
Always a good time.
Not impressed
The course left me dissapointed in several ways. The course is by the city land fill and that day the wind was coming from that direction. I almost left, it stunk so bad. On one of the holes some kind of (hopefully) water was spraying up from the dump and misting onto us. Gross! About the only thing I liked was that the course was narrow and challenging. This course is a lot of work to play. The entire course is "cart path" only all the time every day. The greens were ok but had many spike marks and unrepaired ball marks. I got a good on-line deal but even at the cheap price I will probably play elsewhere especially when the wind is out of the north.
Excellent course
Was one of the best 9 hole courses I Have ever played can't wait to go back
Shotmakers course
Challenging narrow course. Greens somewhat slow but course in good shape tee to green. Wish there were more yardage markers.
This is a 9 hole golf course, u need to play twice if you want to play 18 holes.
The course was nice, the only problem or what I didn’t like was that they over water 75% of the course and is it was a swamp in tee box and fairways. If they can control the water issue it could be a good course to develop your game
9 Hole Course
When we booked we weren't aware it was a 9 hole course....first disappointment. Second disappointment...cart path only. However, in their defense they have recently had 15+ inches of rain. But it made for a long (& super hot) day. A lot of blind shots. Tree lined as well as heavy brush, so not forgiving at all. If you weren't in the fairway, forget it...your ball was lost. A lot of side hill lies, up & down hills. No cart girl, so bring your own drinks. I wouldn't recommend for walkers or beginners.
Worth playing.
Course is layout out to challenge you off the tee as well as around the green. '4 tees to pick from the change the course drastically.
